My title sums it up. The hotel is one of the best if not THE best value hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms are modern, you can adjust the room temperature which is not always the case with hotels in Japan. The hotel is connected to a convience store on the first floor. Came with free dinner after... More

I picked this hotel on the basis of the tripadvisor reviews. Since I booked, it's risen even further up the rankings. I am quite surprised by the other rankings, although I haven't stayed in many hotels in Japan so maybe I am comparing it to the wrong things. Anyway, the good: - conveniently located, near an underground station on the... More

I stayed 4 over nights at "dormy inn Hakata Gion". More than 4 over nights stay, cost of bed and breakfast is 6,400 JPY per day. I stayed at 3rd floor, view is bad, room size was compact, bed was large, comfortable and clean. I recommend take a public spa rather than shower booth in room. The spa is so... More

I have to agree with reviewers who said it's great for families. This was the first stop on a multi-destination trip and it was a wonderful start to our holiday! I LOOOVED the onsen downstairs. I've been wanting to visit an onsen for a while, but with a toddler and infant, it's just not possible right now. So when I... More

Pros: 1. Room was small but perfect. 2. Front desk staff were helpful with inquiries. 3. Write across the street from Ramen noodle places, Yatai, shopping street, and mall. 4. Near the main center of activity. 5. Free washer (but the drier requires money - 100YEN only for 30 minutes). 6. Very good morning breakfast including sampling of local foods.... More

The hotel is near to the Gion station along the KuKo Line. It is also not too far away from Nakasu and Tenjin. The hotel has a convenient store at the ground floor. There is also a onsen bath in the hotel with free ramen served at certain hours. Overall, it really is a clean and value hotel that is... More

Stayed 3 nights and first time in Fukuoka so did'nt know where or what I was in for. One stop from JR Hakata station, the hotel is around the corner from the subway exit. Modern and tasteful interior, small rooms typical of business hotels however bathroom was typical western. Room comes with typical amenities including toiletries, fridge, hot pot, pajamas... More

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, one when we arrived first night in a family room accommodating 2 adults and 2 children and our last two nights where we stayed in 2 separate double-bed rooms next to each other. I fully understand why the hotel stays so high rated in Tripadvisor all the times. Being modern and with the... More

This hotel is well run, popular, modern in its fit out and represents good value for money for the business traveller. Located only one stop from the Shinkansen station, access is either a 5 min walk or a quick metro trip. There is a large hotel public japanese style bath with sauna which is excellent. Internet connection by LAN.

We stayed in Fukuoka for one night after 2 nights at different Ryokan's in Beppu. What was perhaps the most surprising is that the Dormy's onsen was by far the nicer even though it was only about 25% of the cost. The foot massage course for 2000 yen for 20 mins was also great! Room is nice sized (lacks an... More
