All the other positive reviews are accurate. It's attached to the train station, it's quiet, it's comfortable, the free breakfast is ample.

Just steps from JR Nara Station. The rooms are minute, but very well designed. Decent buffet style breakfast. Stayed 2 nights so I could relax in the onsen; with all the walking between the sights it was lovely to come back to hot spring.

Very Japanese. We didn't see any other westerners, the food was fine, and the public bath nice. Couldn't be any closer to the station - it's attached. Check out the pillow library near the front desk - the ones in the room are unusual and for me uncomfortable, but we could (and did) pick out other pillow styles to try.
