It is so peaceful here you may never want to leave. I have stayed at the Halcyon several times - this last one at the end of November. Hosts June and John are the most wonderful people, always warm and kind - they treat you like an old friend. The rooms are so beautiful and cozy, the beds so comfortable... More

Both my husband and I were very happy with our overnight stay at Halcyon. We were celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary and chose this B&B based on its proximity to the Shrine of the North American Martyrs and because the reviews were so great. Unfortunately, it was almost dark by the time we arrived. One of our regrets is that... More

My husband and I were looking for a bed and breakfast to stay on our way to the Finger Lakes. After some searching, my husband landed on the Halcyon B&B! We were only looking to stay for one night on a weekend. After speaking with June, there was one room available and we booked it! Driving up to the house... More

June and John were excellent hosts on our way back home from the New York State Fair in Syracuse. Their old farm house is locate 1/3 of a mile from the road set way back so you are out in a peaceful oasis. Enjoyed a martini on the patio (we brought our own alcohol) and made ourselves right at home.... More

We left busy Saratoga and headed south to this quaint oasis in the country. Filled with family antiques but had all the comforts of home. Very comfortable beds and a great breakfast. The Innkeepers were a delight. We will go back!!

We were in the NY area on goat business (no kidding), and stayed with June and John based on TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The room (Halcyon Room) was beautiful, with a king-sized bed that made even me, the insomniac, sleep soundly. The weather was incredibly hot, with record-setting 100's, but the portable air-conditioner in the room kept the... More

My husband and I arrived by bicycle on one of those 90 degree days. The diner we had planned on for supper was closed. It looked like energy bars for supper but June found a pizza place that would deliver and we had a great meal. The room was lovely-air conditioned, great shower, a place for our bikes, and most... My staff and I have stayed with June and John for the past 2 years for our annual staff retreat to the Shrine of the North American Martyrs. It is just absolutely amazing. Beautiful, large, immaculate rooms. Delightful, helpful hosts. Beautiful surrounding farmland. And the most amazing breakfast that we have ever had. We look forward to making this a... More

Spent a wonderful weekend in the Vorhees room June 2011. The room was clean and bright, and temperature and humidity was perfect. After having the most blissful sleep in their comfortable bed, we woke up to the delicious smell of buckwheat pancakes. These were the most fluffy pancakes I have eaten in a long time, and there was also a... More

Transport yourself to a simpler time, of cabbage roses, high tea, fresh raspberries with mint sprigs....500 acre farm with 300 year old farm house, restored to perfection. Lovely antiques put to good use, peaceful library with board games, menu on demand included homemade blueberry pancakes, omelets and a rasher of bacon. The style in June's design sense is inspired--she makes... More
