The rooms are pretty small like many hotel in Japan. The hotel is very clean, the service is great and unfortuntely i was a bit sick and didnt wake up for beakfest so i dont know how it was :). I enjoyed the hotel and i'll come back in my next visit to Matsumoto.

Clean, budget, does the job. Easy to find from the station and located right next to a shopping mall and the restaurant streets. The only hotel that offered free breakfast in our 10 days in Japan. Although it was simple and basic but it was delicious and adequate - rice balls, miso soup, apple juice, buckwheat tea.

If you are planning a rail trip west from Tokyo to Kyoto, then consider going more slowly via Matsumoto rather than taking the Shinkansen through the urban south: you will see more of "deep Japan" and the mountain scenery is grand. I agree with the other reviews below, this hotel is clean, reasonably priced and central. Having booked a single room, I was surprised at the double bed, and the room had everything needed in it, I expected a tiny room with a single room. The location was great too. Pleasantly surprised!

This hotle has been perfect for me and my husband on our three week tour of Japan. It is a 5 min walk from the train station. The surrounding area is filled with shops and restaurants.
