Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Feel the real wild side of Africa while close to a town . Located only 16km from Kadoma, the dusty 9km on gravel road seems so short as you wind in the thick forest of indigenous trees. Charama dam forms from precipitation of the nearby mountains. Breath taking views, birds watching with 52 species, horse riding, picnic site and water activities.

We arrived at 16h30 to a dimly lit bar with people playing pool and felt like we were gate-crashing an intimate party. After having walked through the bar looking for the reception, one the group said she would show you to our rooms. No hello or welcome. The place is dilapidated and run down and way past its prime. A big pity because the location is great The swimming pool is empty. There was no water in the showers (we were given buckets of brown dam, water to sponge bath). The light in our bedroom didn't work so we were given a candle and almost empty box of matches. Breakfast was reasonably good but I certainly wouldn't recommend going there. How this place is still running is a miracle.

Great get away for families, couples or friends. Worth a visit if you are in Zimbabwe. Highly recommend it! Thank you. It is about 20 minutes drive from Kadoma - look out for the signs on the way. Bird watchers will find a few hidden treasures too!

Beautiful place, 30 minutes 4x4 driving from Kadoma. We arrived here by coincidence, just looking for an original place to spend the night on our trip from South to North Zimbabwe. The owners, Sam and Farai, gave us a very warm welcome and a fridge full of cold beers did the rest. The next morning we saw the true beauty of the place, including the lake. Too bad we lacked the skills to catch some fish.
