Fantastic oasis with the absolutely best breakfast we had in Usbekistan. The two sisters do a great job but one of them is quite business-minded. It seemed to us that room rates vary in function of your country of origin.. The dinner they offer at their friends old merchants house is not worth the price. They also organise trips to... More

We stayed here in a double room with en-suite bathroom for 4 nights and loved it. The room rate for a double with ensuite was USD50/night, payable in USD as the guest house charges the black market exchange rate. The hotel is easy to locate when approaching from the Gur-e-Amir Masoleum side; enter the furtherest left hand entrance through the... More

My brother and I stayed at Antika and we loved it. It is situated in a little alley and within walking distance of all the sights in Samarkand. The owners are extremely hospitable and the breakfasts are great. The accommodation is clean and we had a very enjoyable stay there - I would thoroughly reccommend it.... More

I had stayed at this B&B 6 years ago and, when an opportunity came up to visit Samarkand again, I knew that I would want to stay there again. Antica is an excellent value for your money - the rooms have air conditioning, are decorated in the traditional style, and the staff are amazing. The hospitality is unparalleled; everyone is... More

It's located very close to Amir Timur Mausoleum and less than 10 minutes walk to Registan square. We stayed in a double-bed room for 50$ per night per room (including breakfast), including breakfast. The room was neat and clean. Shower sometimes had low pressure but it wasn't too bad. They seem to open the annex during high season and the... More

Antica B&B, a 90-second walk from Timur's Guri-Amir mausoleum, is nestled in a rabbit's warren jumble of a neighborhood, giving the visitor the feel of the sprawling home of a prosperous Silk Road merchant in the pre-czarist khanate. Indeed, the bustling proprietress, Aziza Haydarova, tells her guests that she is the fifth generation of the family to live in this... More

We have stayed in Antika couple of times in total 5 days. Thus, we had a chance to sleep in their old rooms as well as the new rooms. In both cases the rooms are rather small as well as the bathroom. But clean and the old rooms are beautifully decorated with great view of the Gur Amir. The new... More

Go here, and have a wonderful breakfast in the shade on the lovely terrace, meet the friendly staff, and explore Samarkand. Rooms are nice and clean. More

We showed up unannounced at the Antica B&B and were treated to a wonderful room and an over the top superb breakfast for the princely sum of $30 per night ($15 per person). The location is just fine, next to the Timur Amur Mausuleum and within walking distance of all the major downtown Samarkand tourist sites. Upon arrival, we were... More

We stayed here after reading a glowing review in Lonely Planet. However, it didn't take long before we wished we'd searched around. The room was pretty cramped, with a small, comfortable bed and TV with poor reception. The carpet also looked like it hadn't been hoovered for a couple of weeks! The shower simply didn't work, with a pathetic dribble... More
