Although my travel agency wasn't happy with my choice, I have booked this B&B after reading excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. The place is located 10 minutes walk from Registan (walk down a curvy dirt road between local houses). All the personnel is very-very nice. The responsibilities are divided between family members and i must say they are quite attentive to... More

Jahongir is a well located property (only 10 mins walk from the Registan) although we had some problems getting our taxi driver to find it! Nevertheless, when we arrived we found it to be a pleasant and well appointed place, with simply and comfortably furnished rooms. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Recommended - it is in first place... More

Arriving at 5 am, after 16 hours on the (very slow but charming) train from Urgench (Khiva) and being the only guests I was surprised that there was somebody waiting for us. No early check in fee, and it was really early and no additional night charged but a friendly smile and a cosy room welcomed us. 30 US$ a... More

Although Uzbek in style the hotel management is thankfully very western due to the owners having lived in the USA previously. The rooms are excellent, with soft beds, great showers and icey cold A/C. The owners are very friendly and helpful with great information for the city or onwards travel. Located in a good part of town.

It is very popular and the best B&B in Samarkand I know. it has very good reputation among travlers and it has really good staff and excellent services. The location of the hotel is also very convenient, the atmosphere of the hotel is typical uzbek and you really feel like home.

The halo was on the host who was well-meaning and accomodating. The place itself is a nice retreat from the bustling main road, yet a 5-minute walk from it and Registan. Room was on the small side, but comfortable and Uzbek-styled. Breakfast was basic. There was a lounge area on the other side of the courtyard with grapevine...but that part... More

We stayed several nights at Jahongir while exploring Samarkand. It was very relaxing and the rooms quite comfortable. The morning breakfast was a great way to start the day, while snoozing on the iwans during the afternoon heat was a real treat. No language problems and the owners went out of their way to make everything work.

This Jahongir Samarkand B&B earned a lot of positive reviews. I am going to add one more. Odil is really a great host. I stayed here for 2 nights in the winter Dec 2011. There are only 2 room occupied out of 10 rooms total, I think. It is safe and a short walk to the Registan and very much... More

This B&B is very central (the Registan is just a couple minutes), but maybe a bit difficult to locate. The room I had was nice, even though quite small, and the bathroom was acceptable. The breakfast was very good. The manager proved to be very very helpful (while I was there was an electricity problem in the neighborood, but he... More

Stayed here for 1 night. Booked triple. The room is decorated in traditional Uzbek style and consists of two parts. Breakfast was simple but OK. Location is OK. 5 minute on foot to Registan. The owner speaks Russian and English. I can definitely recommend this place.
