This hotel is in an amazing location to wander the sites of Samarkand like the Registan. In a quiet street with nice grounds and pool. However, the hotel itself is a bit dated and faded, but nothing too bad by Central Asian standards. The counter staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed 3 nights with a group. Main advantage: close to the Registan. In a dead-end street - difficult for the bus to enter and leave. Poor lighting in the lobby, old fashioned. Small room, small and bad designed bathroom. Killed at least three/four cockroaches during our stay. Hard matresses. Staff unfriendly and very bad service and cleaning.

We spent three nights. The hotel used to be a 4-star hotel, and is now a 3-star. 1- The location is excellent 2- The room was comfortable. We had a problem with the shower that was fixed rapidly. 3- The service was excellent. 4- Internet connection was very slow. 5- Breakfast buffet was acceptable but not plentiful.

An ideal location -The Hotel is a few minutes walk from the Registan - torch recommended in an evening as the pavements/streetlighting are poor.
