Banana Village is a convenient accomadation close to the airport. We arrived after midnight and the manager was waiting for us. It is a rural setting with a troupe of verdant monkeys playing in the trees. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was adequate.

Situated just six miles from Entebbe Airport off the Entebbe-Kampala highway, Banana Village is hidden away in a quiet, peaceful village of Kitala-Nalugala. Reaching Banana Villlage is an achievement as the local roads are pretty poor. The accommodation is adequate, and is Ok for a stop-over. I would not consider it as a holiday hotel. Monkeys playing in the grounds... More

Stayed at this beautiful retreat for 2 nights after the most hectic of visits to Kawempe and Luwero, was absolutely exhausted on arrival but this place in the middle of all the 'busyness' was so peaceful and restful. The grounds are lovely, well kept and lovely to just wander around at your leisure. The hut that I stayed in was... More

The first 3 days of my Uganda trip I spent at the Banana Village! It was a good start, you get hot water, pretty good food and there is a friendly staff. If you are lucky you also get to see a bunch of little monkeys in the yard while having breakfast. It is located pretty close to Lake Victoria,... More

Great place with a great hotel manager who was very helpful in all manners. Hot showers and big clean beds. Free internet in the reception-area which is fast!

This place is great for low-budget travelers. It's a no frills, basic necessities arrangement. Our family of four had bunks with nets, a very old and dilapidated bathroom, and a front porch with no chairs. We arranged for dinner and got rice, stew and a small piece of chicken. Nothing was "fresh". The power went out and we were forced... More

I was coming back to Uganda on a flight that landed at 2 AM, so I searched online for a place near Entebbe. I emailed Banana Village and the manager, Barbara, responded to all of my emails promptly and in a very helpful manner! They have a taxi driver that they always use at the airport, and he was there... More

We loved our stay at Banana Village. Our food was awesome! It's really pretty close to the airport Entebbe Airport. The huts were great! There's a wonderful family of monkeys that live there on the premises! They love their pictures being taken! I felt very safe while I was there. They have watchmen through the night that a lot of... We stayed here in July after a hectic tour of some charity projects and a safari. This is certainly an experience of Africa. There were power outages, so the hot water system in the showers didn't work, but that's Uganda. Hot water was brought in buckets, so we were catered for in a 'plan b' kind of way. The food... More
