I really enjoyed my 3 night stay here a couple of weeks ago. The room was clean, comfortable, and hot water was available when I needed it. I thought the breakfasts were very good as well. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is I found the service a little aloof but it wasn't horrible by any means.

It was nice to meet Merdan and his family and the cats "Tekir" and "Ceviz". We didn't have any problems during our stay. We enjoyed having breakfast and watching TV with people in the entrance. I first visited the Walnut House 15 years ago and always stay there when visiting Goreme. Merdan and his father are very laid back and welcoming. The rooms are warm (love the underfloor heating) and the water hot. Breakfast is very filling and the omelettes are superb. I really enjoyed our New Year's stay at Walnut House. Merdan prepares a large breakfast, cooks a great omelette, and is happy to help organise extras such as balloon trips. The only thing wrong with our room was a lack of hot water on the first day but once we mentioned it the problem was immediately rectified. Highly recommended.

The service is excellent, offered by a very helpful owner. Location is perfect, right in the middle of the village, without noise. We liked the architecture of the rooms and the interior design, as well as the overall design of the hotel. Good breakfast in variety and quantity. Excellent value for money.
