My daughter and I stayed here as a Christmas treat while we were visiting Bursa. We loved it. Each room is different and nicely decorated. Service is outstanding. We corresponded with Hande Hamin before our arrival. She answered all our questions and greeted us at the front desk when we arrived. The hotel provided transportation from the otogar and back,... This is a very unusual hotel and boutique is the correct description. Yes it is a bit more expensive than normal but we enjoyed it. I agree with other reviewers on the stairs, friendly service and convenient location to the city but two things stand out for me: 1) The garden, lovely to have breakfast in and enjoy a peaceful... In the good old days of 1960's , when there was no television in Turkey, we Turks had the warm habit of visiting each others houses in the evenings. This was done with a ritual . First , a young kid of the house would be sent in the morning ,to the house to be visited that evening and after... More

Kitapevi in Bursa was an excellent hotel choice from Tripadvisor reviews. Free transport was arranged to and from the ferry stop to the hotel. Burhaq and Unuf (hotel staff) were amazingly helpful. And the hotel manager Atilla, arranged a city facing room on the top floor. The room afforded spectacular views of the city, the mountains and the Mosque, which... More

We stayed here for 1night. It was a nice small hotel that felt very "cosy". The location is great, within walking distance to all the city sights and on a hill away from the hustle and bustle. A bit hard to find though - definitely catch a cab and ring the hotel for directions. The room was reasonable size and... More

Hands down one of the best hotels we stayed at in Turkey. Hotel is tucked back in a neighborhood, but is walking distance. (Down steps) to the center. Rooms are great and people are very friendly. If you take the ferry from IST make sure to let them know and they will pick you up free!

We spent 1 night at Kitap Evi (unfortunately, wish we could stay longer). What a charming place. It's very close to key attractions in town and located in the old city (the hotel is next to the old city walls). It's a restored old Ottoman mansion situated on a hill (commanding view of the city) with a very nice and... More

I think the highlight of our trip to Bursa was Kitap Evi. It was just for one night but the hotel is beautiful and charming. It's not the easiest hotel to find but once you do, it's hard to leave. We stayed in the suite, I think—it's on the top floor. The views of the mosque are amazing. We were... More

We stayed at the hotel after emailing the owner Atilla, he was very quick and responsive. The hotel is a stones throw away from the great Ulu Cami. As a Muslim it was great to hear the Adhaan every morning prayer. Atilla was very accommodating, it is slightly tricky to find. The breakfast was lovely and the hotel surroundings were... More

This boutique hotel is really a house converted into a hotel. It is beautifully done. The owner has obviously taken pains to do up this hotel. Each room is different and each room has a character of its own. The owner was kind enough to show us some of the other rooms that were unoccupied and we could not decide... More
