John and I stayed for just over a week with Tim and Judith, using Moonstone House as a base to visit Kalkan as well as a variety of ancient sites and local villages. We could not have been made more welcome or more comfortable. Tim and Judith were excellent hosts offering invaluable advice on trips, practical assistance with lifts to... More

on our hike on the lycian way we stayed at moonstone house for one night. judith and tim really know what tired hikers need: hot shower, cold beer, comfortable bed, homemade healthy food and advices for the route. although we came without notice, they welcomed us like old friends, pampered us with coffee and cake, excellent meals, spotless clean facilities... My girlfriend and I stayed at the Moonstone and our only regret was not being able to stay any longer! Tim and Judy were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. We wanted to do a day walk on the Lycian way and Tim drove us to the next village for a 10km walk. Waiting back at... More

Just a few 100 meters away from the Lycian way, a perfect place to stay for one or more nights. Great bed, nice warm shower, excellent food and perfect hosts! It was too cold outside to go for a swim, but the pool in front of the house with a beautiful view, must be very nice to relaxe in after... More

I rarely write a review unless a place stands out and this one does. Although we were only there for some 24 hours as we hiked the Lycian way, that was long enough to say this is a top place with very nice people running it. Tim and Judy are great hosts and full of tips that add something extra... More

This is the best accommodation I have stayed at in all my travels around Turkey. Firstly the location is high in a very quiet valley in the mountains above Kalkan. The prayer calls from the town mosque at Saribelen, and the local shepherd calling his animals are the few man-made sounds you will hear. The hosts are a very friendly... More

Tim and Judy run an excellent guest house in the small town of Saribelen, above the Tourist town of Kalkan. It is located just 100 yards from the Lycian way, the popular hiking route between Fethiye and Antalya. The house was built in 2007 and is in excellent condition, with 4 clean and spacious rooms. The hotel is perched on... More

Thank you for your very complimentary review. Just one point of clarification; although two of the cats are usually allowed into the house, they are never allowed into guest bedrooms. If a guest does have an allergy to cats we will keep tall cats out of the house for the duration of their stay. More
