Much like the rest of Thailand, it doesn't look like any maintenance or up-keep has been done since it was built - from the looks of the decore in the rooms, this must have been late 70's (but for $40 a night who's complaining) However, the Coral gardens just off shore live up to the Island name. Snorkelling over the... More

Nice place with simple but totally ok bungalows. Cleaning is ok, less insects than what we expected in a place like this. Some geckos, ants and mosquitos, most outside. About 5 m from the beach which I/we went here for. Wouldn´t be the same without a beachfront bungie here. Beach is very nice when the tide is mid to high.... More

Again beautiful location, but food very poor, very quiet in the evenings, resort desperately needs updating and new management! More

We stayed for ten days and had a very relaxing holiday. This resort is great if you are not expecting full on entertainment but just need a quiet time. The beach is lovely and the snorkeling was stunning. The rooms were clean and changed daily. The service was very friendly and we were very welcomed. Some of the promised facilities... More

Resort is unfortunately not entirely as portrayed, small littered beach besieged by tourists (usually Japanese and were so obnoxious they kept them at a separate bar in the evenings), no electric for 5-6 hours a day, cold salty showers, damp musty smelling rooms and very rude young male receptionist. The deck chairs on the beach were small and half didn't... More

If you have time to get farther away from Phuket on your holiday, DO! The Coral Island "Resort" charges quite a healthy premium (we paid BHT4500) but doesn't remove you from the madding crowds. In fact, it delivers them to you every morning. The huge cruise boats arrive packed with tour groups by the hundreds. The best thing about these... More

Coral island is paradise! To us, it was the beach itself, just the sheer natural beauty, that made the location so special. - The sand was white powder. - The shoreline had a great variety of ever changing coral/shells for some great coral/shell scavenging. - There was a constant breeze that kept things cool and plenty of trees for shade.... We chose this resort as it was a little away from the mainland. A good choice. The speed boat ride was fun as the waters were a little choppy. We spend 3 days on the island and didnt want to leave. The service was very good, they even went out of their way to make for us something that was... More

A beautiful experience, right from the location to food, activities, etc. The rooms are basic but clean & the service was satisfactory. The room rates too were affordable. However, watch out for the waiters who always seem to be in a hurry to clear your plate. Also, watch out for the speedboat transfers, which costs a whooping THB500 per head... More
