For the cost of staying here, the location is perfect with very close access to a great beach, loads of beach restaurants and bars. Even though it's right at the center of the hustling and bustling area it is unbelievably quiet and is perfect for a relaxing break for a few days. The rooms are clean and the staff just... More

Stayed there with some friends for a few nights. The big plus of Expat hotel is its proximity to Bangla Road and all the nightlfe, if that is what you're here for. The hotel is clearly geared towards the male customer. Rooms are ok but don't expect too much. Bed are large and matresses firm. In my room, the safe... More

I stayed at Expat from December 22-29, 2011. I can safely say that given the price range, it is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Let me mention below the pros and cons of the hotel. Pros: 1) Great great location. You can easily walk to the beach, not to mention the markets, the malls and all... More

Furniture is rather old, rooms are dark and not cosy/ Water in the pool is milk. The hotel has a bar, and at night you could not sleep through noise. The prise is too high for conditions of this kind. The Expat is good hotel for those who came to partying on Bangla and have sex with Thai "ladies of... More

Room 115 was good & clean, had AC & ceiling fan, mini bar fridge, hot water showers & TV and a very large bed for reasons you should already know. This place caters for the genteel gentlemen mainly but has a nice pool, reasonable restaurant and a pretty good open air sportsbar. Service was good but not great, staff were... More
