The setting - gorgeous. The location - perfect for bridge walk. The staff - not the friendliest. The room - disgusting! Would I recommend it?? NO

Booked this by email to the resort and was offered the middle price room of 350 baht. The room I was given was one of the ones nearer to the road. . It was dark and very dirty with only the very smallest window and smelt of mould. It reminded me of a very old garden shed. Even though I had... More

Perhaps that was my favorite guest house during my entire stay in Thailand. I stayed in a bungalow for only 150 baht, which is amazingly cheap. The bungalow was basic, but very clean and tidy, spot on. The staff speaks good English, which is a huge benefit in Thailand and very helpful. Location is great, short walk away from the... More

My friend and I, both females stayed here for one night! We spent two months backpacking around Asia and were not looking for anything luxurious. But this was by far the WORST accomodation we have ever come across! The staff were extremely rude, unhelpful and strange. When we first arrived the place was deserted, there was cats everywhere, the staff... More

First of all - what is one of the most important thing in low-budget travel? low-budget accomadation! For 250 bahts we had a large hut with private bathroom. Blue Star GH is located next to the Kwai River in the middle of tourist area of Kanchanaburi (15 minutes walking to the Bridge or 4 minutes by tuk-tuk for around 50... More

We had a 650bhat hut right on the river, but it was more of a part of the river as there was a bank in it. Not really a problem. Bathroom and aircon were okay, and it was clean when we got there. Restaurant okay and loads of info at the desk. Helpful staff. Considering the cost, it is a... More

I stayed here for about 2 weeks in total. Everyone feels like family, very warm welcoming staff! Surrounded by green in the bungalows. Stayed in a few different rooms and all were so amazing! Such a fun place. Food was amazing! Easy to meet locals and fellow farangs at the table in the front. I will recommend this place again... More

The accommodation is in a great location. Only 15mins walk to the Bridge over the River Kwai and in close proximity to bars, restaurants and lots of other amenities. The rooms themselves are surrounded by vegetation and rooms are accessed by walking across elevated walk-ways over water. The restaurant offers a range of meals at reasonable prices and the staff,... We stayed here whilst visiting the Kwai bridge. The accommodation is basic, but we experienced much worse! We opted for the cold shower, no air con. All of which was fine. Reasonably priced breakfast is available and is a good place for meeting other back packers and getting tips. Good location, close to loads of places to eat and drink... More
