“Terrible time at Sam's.”

Do NOT stay here. We reserved AND paid for our room online before we arrived in Kanchanaburi, but where told they'd not received payment so were told to pay again in cash. This is a scam! “Great atmosphere”

Be sure to book one of the wooden guest houses (No. 6 is recommended) for a big terrasse slightly above the water with a beautiful sunset. If lucky you will be able to see the local varan feeding in the evening just beneath your guet house.

It was an okay stay at this hotel. We paid 600 bahts for one night to be in a room with air-con and hot water. Sam and his family are friendly. “Average, nice enough stay!”

Good location, right along the main strip with great quirky nightlife! Rooms are very good value here especialy as we had just been paying the high prices in Phi Phi! But the 400 baht rooms have air con and hot water... a rarity! The rooms are also clean, the hotel staff are indifferent but do cheap laundry!
