We went there last May 5-7, 2012, found a new luxury and quite and freindly environment area in the resort, no car allow to drive in the sleeping area, you can walk or take an electrict car service, running any time you request , A good decration in northern lanna style, but with modern amendnities. One night we face a... More

Traveling from Bangkok up towards Chiang Mai, we spent a few nights at this hotel. It was clean, nice and well appointed, and the facilities were nicer than I would have expected. The service was a bit off, and there was nobody at the pool bar when we wanted drinks, but overall I would recommend. Also, the food was awesome.

The hotel is located to far from town, and there is nothing to see or do near the hotel. You would be better off staying closer to town. I would give this hotel a pass! The grounds are very nice, and the rooms are nice. They have free WiFi. There is a problem with TV receiption, due to loss of... More

We were on a tour and stayed two nights at this beautiful old fashioned resort that is somewhat dated but still has alot of charm. The hotel is spread out over a large area and we stayed in a quiet, convienient first floor room. Beds were comfortable and there was free wifi (very slow and weak), free water, chips and... More

This was a very nice property, on extensive pretty grounds, with a large swimming pool (though not sure how clean it was). The property was well maintained and rooms were good, with hard beds and fairly clean. The excellent breakfast buffet was served in a separate building. However, this hotel was not close to anything. It took a ten minute... More

Stayed here with family in 2 villas. Beautiful rooms and surrounds. As others have said the pool area is a bit outdated and the resort is not that close to town. The food was okay and the were mostly friendly. You could do worse.

Although the rooms and lay-out were nice the whole place lacked atmosphere. The only time we saw anyone around was at breakfast when the people on tour holidays were around and then it was chaotic, I didn't really see why it was voted Luxury award 2010. The dining room reminded me of a big canteen, the swimming pool wasn't very... More

I don't know what your experience is of luxury hotels and mine is not extensive, but when a hotel received the soubriquet of 'World Luxury Hotel Award 2010' for Thailand (and, remember, there are such classics as The Oriental in Thailand, with many more vying for its coveted place as No 1) you expect them to have a barman on... This is i very nice and quit hitel situated outside Chian Rai. We had to take a transfer to the town and a Tuk-Tuk back. The room was very nice and the restaurant was okay. They do not offer any tours, so you have to plan your trips beforhand.

This was probably the best hotel I stayed at during my visit to Thailand. This resort had a main building with villas throughout. The rooms were clean and unique. There was a sliding wood sliding "window" between the main part of the room and the bathroom. The resort grounds were absolutely gorgeous. They have a pool, sauna and gym which... More
