This hotel, conveniently situated near the Night Market, is remarkable value. I was surprised by the quality of the rooms, facilities and service bearing in mind the rates I paid for two rooms. Chiang Rai itself is a hub for fascinating visits to the Golden Triangle and Mae Salong, both of which I strongly recommend. It is not an entertainment... More

I was not impressed of Chiang Rai, thought it would be more interesting. Actually nothing there and not worth to go there paying close to $ 100,- for the plane, unless you want to go to Laos. And that is not worth either if only going one day, the Visa costs $ 30,-plus transportation. There is a small Night Market.There... More

This used to be the number one hotel in Chiang Rai 25 years ago but it's gone downhill since then. Probably more like a 3 star hotel now. Rooms are a decent price and 2 minutes away from the night bazaar. Rooms are clean enough but really could use a serious clean. Breakfast buffet was big and included an omelette... More

stayed here for one night with family. was very underwhelmed. it is indeed close to the night market, but other than that, this hotel has no redeeming qualities. bathroom is old and needs serious upgrade. carpets are worn. beds are old. wifi did not work in any of the rooms, and was frustratingly slow in the lobby. would never come... LOCATION: Around 10 km from the airport. A private car rental with a driver from the airport directly to Wat Rong Khun and then to the Wiang Inn Hotel cost THB 800. Please, be advised that Wat Rong Khun closes at 18:00 hrs. The hotel is centrally located, only a five-minute walk to the Clock Tower and further five-minute walk... More

Excellent location near the night market/downtown. The room was big and clean, with all amenities. Buffet breakfast with a lot of choice. There is a small swimming pool. We visited 3 similar hotels nearby at the same price level (we paid 1.080 B. double, BF included) and we selected Wiang Inn because the staff was very friendly and the room... More

Simple and old relative hotel who is a minute walk to the night market. The rooms themselves are simple but clean and comfortable. Do not expect too much and not be disappointed. The breakfast is rich and luxurious, a small pool and not inviting. It is recommended to those who seek to be downtown.

stayed here two nights whilst travelling around Thialand and proved itself to be perefct base for touring Chiang Rai. The hotel was a nice little hotel with a good selection of food at the self service breakfast and evening buffet, with someting for eveyone. My bathroom was not the cleanest looking but this was more to do with it's age... More

Stayed at this hotel recently. Yes, it is a very central hotel which is great to be getting out and about. I liked the fact that this hotel was not part of an international chain, and thought that this would be a plus, not as it turned out to be - a minus point. Normally on visiting Thai hotels you...
