Stayed at homestay for 4 nights, the guest house was very well appointed and clean. the rooms although not big( about 27 sq mts) were very well maintained and cleaned daily. they had a safe and tea and coffee making facilities, the tv was fairly small and only had 2 English speaking channels( news) no movie channels, but had a... I am so pleased to see the last review of this place as I was disappointed to see the one before. Disappointed for Toony and Phaet, we stayed at the homestay for two nights in February and could not find fault with anything at all - we loved it. We 'hired' Toony and his moped as a guide to take... More

I live in Chiang Rai, not far from this homestay, and I'm rather well informed about this town and its accommodations. My personal guests are always staying at this homestay and they wouldn't if there would be a better place. I simply wouldn't send them there. I want to react on a 'review' of a friend of a former guest... More

We stayed at the Chiang Rai homestay at the beginning of February 2012 with our two young sons, found by chance on the internet but what a fantastic place. The surroundings are beautiful, the rooms really clean and Tony, Phaet and their family are very welcoming and great hosts. The food is some of the best that we have had... More

Lovely and comfortable home stay. The bamboo room is lovely. Having breakfast on the verandah with lovely view and delicious breakfast is such a wonderful way to begin our day. Thanks Pat and Tony and children, Cindy and NIcky for sharing your lovely home with us. Send our hugs to Rocky...

What a find! This lovely, meticulously maintained "guest house" is just outside Chiang Rai, and I'm so pleased we found it! I stayed here with my two adult daughters at the end of December, 2011 and couldn't have been more happy with the accommodations. Comfortable, clean, and spacious...with a great bathroom. And, the other guests staying there were nice (one... More

We stayed a week at Tony's Homestay in July 2011. We and our kids enjoyed it very much! They liked playing cards with Cindy and Nicky. The family bungalow was great: airco, tv, a great terrace, quietly located. We rented a scooter and did some nice trips in the environment: waterfall, white temple, etc. With the other guests we also... More

Homestay Chiang Rai was a blessing. The homestay is just out of the centre of Chiang Rai, about five minutes by car. Dutch owner Toony brings you to town if you like. This is a free of charge service. Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 10.30 am. Rooms are spotless clean. Very helpfull staff. Toonie rents mountainbikes and scooters for... More

My wife and I have stayed here twice and love the place. While only 10 minutes or so from the City (a few kilometers outside) it is really already in the countryside with a great view over rice fields to a spectacular-looking temple at the foot of a massive karst. Just the type of stuff one goes to Thailand to... More

Due to the current flood disaster in central Thailand, Chiang Rai was an unexpected stop on our itinerary but one we are really glad we made. It's a lovely bit of Thailand and staying at Homestay-Chiang Rai just confirmed the general positive feeling we had of this area. It's a small guesthouse, a short ride out of town in the... More
