We first met Fong when she came to pick us up after a taxi driver from the sirport had driven us to the wrong Baan. We didn't notice till the desk person told us but at that stage we were tired and just wanted to sleep. Fong greeted us with a big smile and that set the tone for the... More

Lots of reviews give this place 5* and rightly so. Do bear in mind that this is a guest house/B&B though and don't expect the Ritz. Rooms are very clean and, for Thailand, the beds were comfortable without being rock-hard. After reading some of the reviews we went for one on the third floor (1500 Bt) and were a little... More

In fact, it's been over one year since I stayed at Baan Nattawadee in October 2010. But I can stay remember the place as if I just left yesterday. The courtyard that's full of green, the room overlooking the nature, the gracious breakfast, and the warmth of its owners Fong and Ton, who are really friendly and caring. Ton took... More

Better described as a comfortable Guest House than a Hotel (Hotel sounds too formal which Baan N. is not). Fong and her Mum and baby daughter met us at the Old Bus Depot and brought us to Baan Nattawadee where we quickly settled in. All the staff are wonderful people and extremely polite and helpful. After the first night we... More

We had a wonderful stay during the new years eve at Baan Nattawadee: the breakfast was the best food we had during our 3 weeks stay in Thailand, the rooms are very clean and large and the owners are very kind and helpful. The Baan is in a quiet area of Chiang Rai, 5-10min by tuk-tuk (100-150baht) from the center... More

We traveled with a large group to Chiang Rai Thailand in October of 2011. Our first 3 nights were spent at Baan Nattawadee, or as I would like to refer to it, home. We arrived at Baan Nattawadee and were greeted by the front desk on duty (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) We had arrived very early in... More

We enjoyed 6 days and nights with Fong, Ton, their lovely children and great staff. Breakfast was a lovely, relaxed daily experience with a good selection, in the family garden. It's the little extra touches that make the difference and that will ensure the success of this guest house. For example Fong went out of her way to arrange a... More

What a lovely place this is with quiet rooms, a pretty garden and a fabulous breakfast! There's even a choice of delicious homemade jam and local fruit, a welcome variation from the standard strawberry/orange and watermelon/papaya combinations. What I like the best is the personal committment of the owners, a rare occurrence in Thailand where often all seems to be... More

We stayed at Baan nattawadee for two evenings with our family of 6 (kids between 6 and 14) We shared two rooms and at first had requested an extra bed in each however given the spacious layout of the rooms we easily moved the extra futon mattress to create a room for our four kids to comfortably share with us... We stayed here for two nights on a spur of the moment trip to Chiang Rai as our original plans in Bangkok had fallen through, as a result we had to book it at the last minute and even from the start of the booking process our experience with Baan Nattawadee was brilliant, we emailed Fong at approx 2130 the...
