Greens are in good condition, fairways could do with a bit of water. A few tricky holes playing off the yellow tees makes it a stiffer test approximate 6400 yards. Caddies good at reading greens mine was number 206. I shot 82 handicap 17 I put that down to good reads from the caddy only 28 putts!!!!

I played here twice recently and can recommend it as a nice holiday course. A little tired in places but good holes and bunkering not too harsh. It wont challenge a single figure golfer but fine for me (15), even the ladies can get round without looking silly. Caddy's are ok too. Clubhouse and food usual standards, nothing exceptional. Will... More

Pro: good cost in the off-season, we paid 800baht in Sept, course is nice and well cared for, it's very close to Hua Hin so convenient. Cons: No ATM on property and the caddy payments have to be in cash no credit-card, check in was slow they seem to get overloaded quickly with ~3+ groups, after golf "happy hour" was... More

Palm Hills is just outside of the city of Hua Hin in Thailand It's not the best golf course in the area. Other courses like Springfield are more world class. But the greens are in great shape and the course is well maintained. The 18 hole golf course is surrounded by residential houses and villas. Residents who live there often... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Palm Hills Golf Club & Residence was the first international standard golf courseto open in Hua Hin back in 1992. The course located between Hua-Hin andCha-Am, is close to the Hua Hin airport, and takes only two hours to drive fromBangkok.Palm Hills is near to the Petchburi mountain ranges, and has some stunning viewsof the Gulf of Thailand. It is situated with a spectacular natural setting of mountains, lakes and sea, making this course popular with golfers of all abilities. The 18-hole par 72 (6892 yards) championship courses was designed by the worldacclaimed golf architect Max Wexler, and the course is laid out on a long strip ofundulating terrain which gives the course a Scottish hillside feel. The particularitiesof this championship course are a beautiful line of hundreds of palm trees plusplenty of hillside lines, thus it is became known as Palm Hills. The valley and hillside course makes your approach shots vital. The fairways haveBermuda grass and they are generous and wide, making it popular for all golfers, especially on the 9th and 18th holes. Here if you are standing in the wrong direction, your ball can actually roll into the wrong hole!Generally, the greens are well known as some of the fastest in the area, especiallywhen putting down grain. The 10th through to the 14th holes are probably the bestholes on the golf course, and require accurate shot placement, after your warm upfrom the front nine holes. Their signature hole is the 11th, a long par three uphillinto the sea breeze. ... more   less
