The place is very beautiful, but we were expecting it would be closer to the main town of Hualien (otherwise we would have considered staying closer to the Taroko Gorge). Also, the service of the hotel was great, but not at the restaurants. Because of the isolation, we were forced to eat there. One night Chinese, the other night "Western"... More

Located on a mountain top, got a excellent view of the ocean and the lower ocean amusement park. The hotel it self is well maintained. Very clean, very big, service was pretty good too. The people working at the front desk may need more English trainings. I volunteered to be a interpreter for a European couple to make request at... More

Was looking for restaurant before hopping on the train back to the city. FarGlory is a bit of the drive, but it was totally worth it! My family loved excellent food (Chinese or western) and unbelievable ocean/mountain view. We took lots of photos before leaving beautiful Hualien. The hotel is gorgeous itself. Really blew us away.

a resort on the ocean front hillside to the south of Hualien City, 95% focussed on asian customers (combination on Taipei, Mainland China, Japanese), so very little english spoken amongst staff once away from the front desk. Rooms are lovely, well equipped, good amenities, and each with balconies (great for smokers). Restaurant buffet has great selection of clean food.

This is a hotel for honeymooners and vacationers - it's too far from downtown Hualien to be convenient for a business traveller unless you have a car and driver at your disposal. But for people with time to laze around in a resort hotel that's close to the Ocean Park water park, this is hard to beat. Hualien has few... More

We stayed in this hotel just last week after reading through the blogs and sites about this hotel. Service at reception was ok... lines were fairly short, and they do separate the tourist groups from individual customers, which was a plus. We got the Deluxe room with the ocean view. The view was REALLY nice, and it would have been great... More

This is an European style hotel, I don't like that style here actually, because Hualien is a place with its wonderful Taiwan native people culture, so I think they should add more these cultural style to the deco. This hotel isn't located in downtown, you have to take about 15 mins to downtown by car, and there's no other restaurants... More

We are an American family of 5 living in Taiwan. We stayed at the FarGlory Hotel in June of 2011 on a very last minute trip. We booked our trip 12 hours before we arrived and were able to get a room with plenty of space for the 5 of us, which is no small challenge in Taiwan. Upon our... More

Nothing feels quite like getting out in the city and enjoying a few days of peace in a 5-star hotel in the mountains. The Farglory Hotel allows you to do just this, being located on a mountaintop facing the sea. After staying at the hotel a few times, I would give the hotel a B+/A-. The view is splendid and... More

Stayed there during Chinese New Year as part of the package. Hotel does look like a Disney Resort... .Room is pretty good in size with a large balcony and sofa/reading area (which can be set up as a sofabed). Pretty good room size and both view are quite nice. Restaurants are all very busy (due to big holiday weekend). Outdoor... More
