I 've stayed at Leader village quite a few times now and I have to say it exceeds my expectations each time. Great food, location, culture, and service. Quiet and comfortable with a little bit of history and culture thrown in for good measure.

This is a great place to stay while visiting Taroko Gorge. The accomodations are cabins, but with all amenitites that you need. The dinner and breakfast was included and were decent. I enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the evening listening to the bugs while surfing the net, quite a strange combination.

We are in Taiwan for a year and love this island, but we have to say -- be wary of the Leader Lodge Taroko in winter. We went for Christmas and froze.
