Stayed four nights in April and were spoilt by Arthur. Being close to 60ish I think he was worried about us. Beautiful breakfasts and very comfortable rooms, wifi and only a 100TD ride into the city. Must stay if you are in Hualien.

Very cozy place and warm friendly host. Nice breakfast and the free nice bicycle for going aroun especially seeing the mountains.
