We stayed here for 1 night, just to be able to visit the archeological site. We had a very small room. Not enough room to leave 1 suitcase open. 1 small bed for 2 persons, right beside the wall. So we had to climbe over the other person to leave the bed. A small window. At first we thought there... More

My wife and I stayed here in May 2009. We didn't spend much time here other than to sleep. The rooms were small but the bed was extremely comfortable and more importantly the sheets were clean. I word of advice - if you're short like me there will be no issues with the bed but if you're over 6' tall... More

We had a clean room with firm mattresses, heat and hot water, in-room wireless internet. However, the walls are very thin and if the person next door is watching tv until midnight, you won't be in the mood to get up early to see the sunrise over the ruins. The beds are not made for anyone over 6ft. Breakfast buffet... More

The reasonably acceptable reception area is not reflective of the exceptionally basic and not very clean bedrooms. Nothing about the hotel was good and many things were bad. The worst thing was the dire smell that started emanating from the bathroom half way through the night and intensified through to morning, despite covering up any drain holes etc with bath... More

Good location near the main square / entrance to the ruins and all the shops & restaurants. My room was a single on the ground floor - extremely small, the doorway to the bathroom only max. two feet wide (and there was only a curtain instead of a door). The window went into some kind of courtyard with some boiler... More

Stayed here one night as part of a larger business group. Corner room was a miserable oven, no sleep even with fan on until cool of the morning came. Apparently there is central AC but it is useless. Street noise was intense with windows up. As soon as the group left we checked into a hotel closer to the ruins... More

Although classified as a three star hotel (presumably a generous Syrian ranking), this is a one star hotel on one of the main streets through town. Rooms are small and pokey, the air conditioning does not work unless you go and complain that it is not working (and then it is turned on only for a short time) - hence... More

This hotel is pretty good for its price with basic facilities and comfortable beds. The location itself is good. However the breakfirst was pretty bad with only some Arabin breads with jams. If you are in a low budget like we were this hotel is nice and cozy but if you ask for excellent facilities you might want to look for... More

We stayed at the Orient Hotel as part of an organised Gecko's tour to the middle east. The hotel was very basic to say the least. Although there was a tv in our room we had no reception. The rooms were tiny shoeboxes with very little space to move around. There was no airconditioning, but there was a fan in... More
