Spent three nights at Saman Villas, Bentota, Sri Lanka recently (21st May to 24th May, 2012) and found the place to be beautiful, relaxing and cheerful. The rooms, dining room and location of the hotel are splendid. Sadly when we arrived it was pouring with rain and the journey from the airport was another story. The reception area being the fact it was raining was rather damp including the seats. We were greeted with ‘the monsoon season has started early’ – not what one wants to hear on arrival to the start of ones holiday.

Saman Villas was a truely magnificent hotel. Everyone was extremely nice helpful and friendly. Food was excellent but slightly overpriced. Service was superb and faster than you would expect. We stayed in a deluxe villa with a private pool, but it wasnt really private, but who cared, if you know what i mean ;)
