We were quite shocked by the poor state of the room and especially the bathroom which was so tired and outdated. Also, the acoustic performance of the walls was poor and there was little separation from noise of the nocturnal activities of our neighbours. Otherwise, the hotel is better, being well positioned for local tourist attractions and having helpful staff.... More

An elegant, luxurious hotel, but which has seen better days. Reserving in advance via “booking.com”, we got an excellent price for a weekend rate, and were very satisfied with our room (having asked to change from the first two shown to us… but the reception staff were very helpful) … the photos show how big and comfortable it was, and... One night in a twin room. For a place that has such huge grounds and facilities like a golf course, the interior really lets it down. Doesnt look like it has been updated since it was first built and its dark wood and dark interiors with duvets that I think my grandmother used to have, make it feel a bit... More

Built in 1978, it showed its age in our very large room. It's a long way from both train stations and we were not told about a courtesy bus. We saw one on our second day and asked about it and was told it leaves at 9am. The next day we were catching a train to Seoul at 9:57 and... More

The thing I liked best about the hotel was the spring baths 목욕탕 located on the wing. Nothing grand or big, but comfortable. The hotel has a nice lobby with restaurants, gift shops, and a karaoke room. Also within the grounds is a golf course. The room was plain but clean and comfortable. It has a TV and a small... More

We stayed at the Kolon Hotel and found it clean, comfortable and attractive. The grounds and the view from our hotel room were terrific. We also enjoyed the plentiful Sunday breakfast brunch. A convenient shuttle took us from the train station to and from the hotel. We were very happy with the Kolon for its good value, cleanliness and attractiveness,... More

My room is #915 and it is in old style, but it is spacious and clean. King size bed is firm and comfortable. Bathroom is large and clean. No basic toiletry however, provides lotion, shower cap and comb, even a sewing pack. There are purchasable tooth brush and tooth paste in the room. There is a hair dryer, small fridge... More

Decors look like relics from the 80s. The primary purpose of this hotel seems to be for corporate team building retreats than a tourism. But can't beat the walking distance to Bulguksa.

The Good - The location is excellent and is within walking distance of Bulguksa Temple and the Grotto. Additionally, the area is very peaceful and calm and a nice area to go hiking and exploring. The Bad - The rooms are not up to par for a place that bills itself as an international resort. The rooms are dated, and... More

This hotel is the closest hotel to the major temple and that is its major attraction. You can walk to the hotel in 10 minutes. That said, it is near nothing else other than the Grotto. The lobby was pleasant and there was delicious coffee and sweets and friendly staff. But, the rooms were in dreadful need of maintenance -... More
