Nicely situated at Cote d'Or, just across the road from a beautiful beach. Lovely room, comfy bed, good walk-in shower though the bathroom floor gets drenched. We stayed 4 nights on half-board basis. We stayed at three different places in the Seychelles. Les Lauriers was by far the best value for money. The rooms were very well equipped: big bathrooms, comfortable and clean bed, nice patio, in-room safe, fridge, tea kettle, tea/coffee, and air conditioning. Laurier was our 3rd guest house on the Seychelles and by far the best! Our room was huge, very clean with a nice balcony and a great bathroom incl. a walk-in shower. For our 3 nights in Praslin, we stayed at Laurier, situated near the very beautiful Anse Volbert, also known as Cote D’or. Stayed here February 2004 with my partner and friends. The guest house only had 4 rooms but were talking about building new rooms. We loved their friendliness and the fantastic banana marmelade. I would recommend this guesthouse.

The location might be not the best one, but nothing is really far away when you are on Praslin. You might consider to hire a car (30 euros:day) instead of taking taxis all the time (between 10 and 20 euros depending on th emenght of the trip, e.g. airport to les Laurier= 20 euros). We stayed at Laurier Guest House after eating at the restaurant, visiting the bar and meeting Edwin on our previous visit to Praslin 4 years ago. We had previously stayed at the neighbouring hotel but loved Laurier Bar and Resaurant and Edwin's hospitality. He said that the next time we visited Praslin we should stay with him. So we did.... We arrived with our 1 1/2 year old son only to find that they had no rooms for us despite booking and having a confirmation six months ahead. The only solution was to stay with a private family for the rest of our trip. They gave us a free meal though, but I'd rather have the room.
