Recently spent 3 days in this pet-friendly hotel in Artesia. We chose Artesia over Carlsbad as a base for our visiting Carlsbad Cavern and White Sands NP due to Artesia's inexpensive hotel rates. While the Hotel Artesia is more pricey than others in town, it delivered on all fronts. Very chic decor, rooms were huge and had every amenity, and... More

After researching the area extensively, we decided to stay in Artesia at the Hotel Artesia on our trip to visit Carlsbad Caverns. The hotels in Carlsbad looked very run down and over priced for what you get and the Hotel Artesia looked refreshingly modern and was comparatively affordable. The hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly. When we... More

I have stayed here about 6 times since I decided to switch hotels last fall when I was in town on business. What a surprise at the decor, amenities and all-over atmosphere. My company held a conference here and the staff was very accommodating to ensure the event went well. Even though the room I have had 3 or 4... More

Hotel Artesia is a nice hotel by any standard but it's luxuriant for Southeastern New Mexico. Fresh design, nice bar, 24/7 snack lounge and spotless rooms with all modern amenities (my room even had a bedeau) you can't really ask for more in a hotel. Whether you are an oil and gas professional or traveling to Roswell or Carlsbad, Hotel... More

A 4 star hotel. Plush towels, an actual rug for a bath mat. Paya toiletries. THe room was large and uncrowded with a king bed; a flat screen tv; table and 2 chairs; desk table and rolling chair, with outlets. Free WI Fi internet. Two great chairs to sit and read or watch TV. Carpet area in the living room... More

Staying here was interesting at best. The refrigerator made a ticking noise that would wake up the dead, the climate control was not very accurate. So the refirge sucked and was not used because of the noise. the beds are good for people under 5 foot tall, not 6 foot plus. Check in service after working a 10 hour day... More

Pleasant surprise to be able to stay at Hotel Artesia. The hotel is nicely appointed and the staff was very welcoming. Rooms are very clean and functional, with an art deco feel. The hotel is situated next the Navajo Refinery which at times puts off some rather foul smells. I'd recommend requesting a room on the far side of the... More

You'll usually need to book as far in advance as you can as they seem to stay full. I travel to Artesia fairly often and have only been able to get a room on one occasion as they were always booked. there are few large hotels in artesia and the close proximity to the refinery probably keeps them busy. the... Stayed in Artesia instead of Carlsbad on way to Carlsbad Caverns. Definitely was a good choice. Wasn't too long of a drive to get to the caverns, and the price and quality was much better than I probably would have found in the city of Carlsbad. Hotel was very clean, new, and sophisticated. You could tell it was recently remodeled.... More
