We had a very lovely stay in the Ein Gedi Kibbutz Hotel. The setting is amazing with views of the mountains and the hotel is set in splendid botanical gardens. The room was large, clean and and very comfortable with table and chairs to sit outside if you so wished. The food was very good although it wasn't a personal intimate... More

The Ein Gedi Country Hotel was a very nice place to stay at. We had a room along the promenade, with an amazing view of the mountainous desert, and part of the dead sea. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom was spacious. They had stocked the room with tea bags, biscuits and a kettle. The buffet breakfast and... More

Unfortunately, Kinbutz Ein Gedi takes advantage of its excuisite location in a desert oasis to do the minimum for their customers. Would avoid if you do not wish to be over chaged for bad service, run down rooms and "accidental" credit card transactions.

I stayed here for a week, first with family and then for a conference. The kibbutz has a very special atmosphere with beautiful garden and swimming pool, right in the center of the desert. The food was excellent (we got two meals a day). I will definitely come here again - there is nothing in the area with so much... More

The bath/toilet was quite clean. Quite good breakfast but no omelets & the food was a bit lukewarm at dinner. The surrounding is very quiet, birds twittering at the morning :), lot's of green & on every plant at the Kibbutz there is a description beside it. For photographers - I recommend to bring a 300mm lens for all the... More

Perfect place to stay. In the middle of a botanic garden.

I booked a deluxe room expecting a view but all I saw was the room opposite. It is quite expensive compared to the grander hotels down the road but I suppose one is paying for the kibbutz experience. Without transportation, it is difficult to get around from Ein Gedi and it is half an hour's drive to the main drag... More

I recently spent three days at Ein Gedi while my husband attended a conference there. I absolutely fell in love with this place! Our room (an Arugot room) was lovely - simple and comfortable. I would wake up to find ibexes munching grass outside our door! The pool was very nice and usually fairly empty. The grounds are a botanical... More

If you are planning to stay in the Dead Sea area for a couple of nights, this is a highly recommended hotel. While the rooms are simple and set in motel like structures (some rooms are larger than others), they are very clean and comfortable. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful and really go out of their way to... More

It is always interesting reading opinions of Ein Gedi. It is amazing how peoples comments seem to focus on the quality of accommodation when the real magic here is the environment. Dealing with the hotel first - it is not a 5 star multi national. It is unpretentious, clean, comfortable and functional. The outdoor swimming pool is vast. It is... More
