4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 May 2013 NEW

We stayed at the Majapahit for 2 nights, and apart from the restaurant, we loved it. Although we only had a standard room, it was huge: a lovely king bed, nice furniture and a big bathroom with separate bath and shower and even separate toilet in it's own cubicle. And the service is fantastic from the staff in the lobby... More

This historic hotel has its challenges with an ageing building and some areas such as the shower are showing their age. But, I can excus that as the hotel exudes style and the staff are GREAT, they even wiped down down my suitcase as they served me a welcome drink at reception. Great size room, free wifi, all tv &... We really loved the Majapahit hotel. It is located in the centre of the city and it breathes the atmosphere of colonial times. The hotel is an older hotel very well maintained and with modern facilities. It has a wonderfull garden, swimmingpool, nice restaurants, a bar and a friendly staff. We can highly recommend this hotel. We had a great time at the hotel. The room was very impressive, beautiful and clean. The staff were very attentive and accommodating especially Marinda from the reservation department whom was on leave when we were there. Thank you Marinda for organizing and making our trip an unforgettable one! The opera cake for my friend's birthday was simply awesome! The... More

Stunningly well maintained and a devoted loyalty to the original architecture. Garden which one may suspect has been manicured with a nail clipper makes this hotel worth a visit in its own right. Check in by very efficient service oriented staff and you were soon on your way to your room. Room decor true to the colonial style includes bathroom... More

This is a beautiful, luxurious hotel. The gardens throughout the hotel are gorgeous and well maintained. The swimming pool is large, including a small pool for children. There's also poolside service available. One of the greatest assets of this hotel is the staff. They are genuinely friendly and very customer-focused; from the desk clerk to man sweeping the walks. The... More

A hotel indeed worthy of the high praise lauded on it. On top of the historical significance and architectural merits the hotel is practical in a modern sense. The city centre location means that the Tunjungan Shopping Centre(s) are but a short walk away. Beware the corridors after heavy rain - they are lethal! Otherwise many thanks to all the... More
