We were welcomed by friendly and efficient staff. Accommodation was a beautifully comfortable, clean and well appointed room with a cannopied king size bed. The constant noise of running water from the river below was in keeping with the ambiance along with the views from the generous L verandah along the valley- just stunning. The semi outdoor bathroom was also... More

It was a marvelous experience to stay at The Payogan once again after a 3 year absence. Arriving late in the afternoon, and failing to have booked in advance, we walked in on a rainy afternoon and were cordially greeted by hotel staff. Wayan, of the senior reception staff, arranged a very reasonable rate for a "garden villa" for the... More

This was a seriously beautiful hotel. We loved staying here! Our gorgeous villa had it's own private infinity pool that looked over the jungle (like right out of classic bali photographs!). The room was amazing, with beautiful marble everywhere. The bathroom had an open roof which meant you looked up to the sky (all stone & amazing!). The grounds were... More

This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely setting with extremely helpful staff. Our stay did not start on exactly the right foot as we expected our "two bedroom pool villa" to have two interconnected rooms - beware as they are not. They are a duplex style meaning the kids bedroom was going to be outside the main entrance and... More

our very first visit to Bali and our first 4 nights we stayed at the Payogan. We had a one bedroom valley view pool villa. The villa was spotless, cleaning was done daily while we were having breakfast never saw them in the room. Privacy was respected while on our stay. Food was devine, we had room service 3 nights... Just returned from 6 nights in Ubud staying at the Payogan and my wife and I were thrilled with the hotel's location, appearance and spectacular views and upkeep. Our 1 bedroom pool villa was outstanding and staff were extremely friendly and courteous. A wonderful stay...

I defiantly enjoyed this hotel, but don't think I will be back. When I read the past reviews I thought people were just whinging, but now I can see where they are coming from. I went with my family, but booked a separate garden room for myself. My family booked the duplex villa with private pool and that was very... More

We were staying for 3 nights, came during quiet season. We found it a bit difficult to find it, we drove a rent-car from Denpasar, and had to pass Ubud town, while actually we didn't have to. Staffs were very nice and friendly, we received all the services we requested. Foods are not recommended. If you can, just try to... More

Stay here if you like bugs in your bed, huge geckos poop in your room and an outside bath tub, roosters crocking all day long, roaches, the biggest spiders ever in your bathtub, shower and room, and service that would not do a single thing for you until you start to yell... No exaggeration!! My first complaint was that there... More

My partner & I have just returned from 3 nights at the Payogan Resort. It was absolutely picturesque, right down from the moment you drive through the gates. The staff were all extremely friendly & very helpful in every way. We will be heading back there next year with our family. Thank you everybody there Bobi & Chris.
