OK, so there's a lot of amazing, modern Ubud experiences these days. Infinity pools, amazing vistas, and this hotel seems dated in comparison. But I urge you to look closer, or you'll overlook this gem. This hotel has existed since 1928, and another guest told me it used to be the Royal Gardens. I can see why. The jungle is... More

We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and really enjoy the whole aspect of it. When you have breakfast or dinner looking out into the trees with the squriels running around is very relaxing. They have a car that will take you into Ubud but really the walk up the little hill into town you get... More

We were a family group of 14 ages ranging from 69yrs to 3yrs old!!! This hotel was fabulous for all. All the staff were wonderful and friendly, rooms spacious and clean. The hotel was in a great location, not in the middle of the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk into the main streets. We would do a... More

Upon arriving at this beautiful hotel we were greeted with refreshing cold towels, pink rice wine drinks and smiles. We were taken to our room which was a great size but smelt very musty and although the fan was not working this was promptly fixed the next day also we found a small pile of dust on the bed each... Stayed here for 2 nights. It's beautiful and quiet place in Ubud. We lived in the vally. The room is really humid but it's really clean and free of bugs. Their service is really good. The restaurant has a good view and a good breakfast buffet. A good place to stay in Ubud.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights at the start of June 2013. It was our first time in Bali and we LOVED this hotel so much. Set into a tranquil tropical hillside with rooms styled in traditional Balinese architecture with thatched roofs and lovely stone work this hotel and its rustic charm captured out hearts. The rainforest... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. A wonderful experience. Spa incredible. All in all a fabulous place to stay. Unfortunately the restaurant is very overpriced and the food average. Breakfast ok. Plenty of good places to eat nearby and the shuttle bus is convenient. Will come back to this hotel for its uniqueness.

An elegant and tranquil place to stay, The Tjampuhan Spa Hotel in Ubud is old-style elegance and charm - like stepping back in time. Set in the heart of Ubud, it offers a haven from the hustle and bustle. Staff are kind and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Cool, comfortable rooms, and with an elegant dining room, I... More

I stay here on Silent day in Bali for 3 days 2 night. The right place to looking for peace of soul and mind. Without TV and WiFi in the room, your holiday will not be distracted by technology. Back to nature with natural atmosphere, green and as the life of a village in Bali. Friendly services by Balinese staff... More

My experience at the Hotel Tjampuhan & Spa was limited to two days one night and on a whole it was ok. The pros of staying here included the gardens and swimming pools, friendly staff, its location as it is walking distance to the centre of Ubud. However, with pros come cons! The room we stayed in was damp and... More
