Hotel was good, service was excellent and the scenery was fabulous. However, the location is a bit far from Ubud centre (taxis were around IDR 30-50,000). Pool was good. Breakfast was ok. Not recommended for disabled customers as lots of steps to the rooms.

I stayed at Puri Bunga for 6 nights at a junior suit on the second floor. And I absolutely loved the place! The room (312) was in a great condition. Extremely clean with a spacious bathroom. It was a solo trip with the main purpose to get away from everyone and everything, and this hotel really served the purpose! Quiet,... More

very clean, somewhat sterile high-rise Holiday Inn. Close to river walk area, overpriced cafe and buffet; helpful staff. Rooms are OK, cramped but not as dated as the rest of hotel; good views.

I chose Puri Bunga based on previous emails from Trip Advisor contributors, figuring that its cheap and the views are spectacular. I didn't expect much more and was very pleasantly surprised. My room (a deluxe suite) exceeded all expectations...I was upgraded on arrival. Its enormous. The views are spectacular and the suite could comfortably house an entire school party! The... More

We had a super room overlooking the Ayung River, large & clean but the fitout left something to be desired. There was not one cushion, one standard lamp and the crazy yellow & red plastic chairs were hardly Balinese & the ones on the verandahs needed a good clean. The staff were lovely but the breakfast was very basic with... More

After reading the reviews here I was pretty sure what to expect and the reviews painted a good picture. The most outstanding feature of this hotel is the location, the view and the serenity. Located about 10 mins by car out of town, the hotel is located on the side of a ravine, overlooking rice paddies and the river below.... More

I chose this hotel based on the positive reviews on this website, encouraged by the fact that I found a good deal online. But I did not stay there because this way way below the standards that a hotel this price (around $120) in Ubud usually offers. - one of the swimming pool was green for lack of maintenance, which... I booked 2 junior suites through Expedia for 2 nights for around NZ$70 a night as it seemed a nice relaxing place and with three of us, we could share the cost of rides in and out of town as we liked, but then come back and enjoy the peace. It was lovely and quiet and only had 10 rooms... More

Just returned from a 3 day stay at Puri Bunga Resort and Spa. Fantastic Setting. Absolutely 5-star. Overlooking the green hillside with a river flowing below. A scene right out of the story books. Wonderful. Staff is good. Breakfast great. The only downside is the bathtub, which is in a separate room than the toilet. It is adjacent to the... More
