We had a four night stay & enjoyed this as a base. There are lots of steps, but it is built into the side of a jungle ravine, hard to work around that. The rooms/villas are 8yrs old, by bali standards they are excellent, but they are beginning to tire and could do with a refresh if they want to... More

We booked a villa which was lovely...had a private pool and has 2 floors. A king bed downstairs and 2 singles upstairs, each having its own bathroom. I have to say that while hotels in Indonesia are very elaborate and beautiful, they are not very practical. Ubud is a very hilly place. I can safely say all the hotels are... More

Beautiful gardens, gorgeous buildings, a stunning pool and expansive views across the river gorge, all seems perfect. And it was, except for some surprising minor failings. Breakfast was in a beautiful space but the pre-paid meal was a little less than room prices would have suggested. Similarly, whilst every anti-mosquito aid was at hand in the rooms, the mosquito nets... More

Lovely food, staff, spa and experiences in this amazing hotel. the only problem was that we should have extended our stay. it is fairly close to everything in ubud. they run a shuttle bus hourly to and from town. I recommend it with pleasure!

We stayed at Pita Maha with two teenagers and had originally booked the duplex villa, when we arrived we found that this wasn't suitable, due to it being to noise. They changed our booking into two single villas. We paid a bit extra but it was organised very quickly and without any questions asked. The staff was delightful, always eager... More

I've been trying to make a reservation for the spa treatments there. For three consecutive days (in a day i called 3-5 times), nobody from the spa responded. I've given my phone numbers two times, no follow-up calls as promised. No GM on duty who can receive my complaints. Not impressed at all with their service!!!

Highly recommended pool villas. Beautifully fitted out in Balinese style, well maintained and everything one could possibly want is provided. Courteous and helpful staff. Great Location. Serene and quiet property with stunning views and in walking distance to much of Ubud's shops and restaurants.

Besides being a beautiful villa style hotel and spa set in quiet location with fantastic views and local walks, the bonus is the helpful staff. Certainly a different holiday on our fourth stay in Ubud when my wife fractured her leg some distance from the hotel and required hospitalisation. The staff provided transport and support for 5 days during her... More

My husband an I stayed at the Pita Maha, for 6 nights, several months ago, in February, and on return, I wrote a lyrical review praising it, however unfortunately I did not save it correctly... The highlights were the wonderful green views of the canyon. Watching the occasional squirrel rocket up the trees, in the distance, while we enjoyed a... More

A fantastic place to stay in Ubud - a little bit like in paradise! Beautiful villas and an extraordinary pool within the tropical forest of Ubud. The staff was great and very helpful - if we come back we'll book here again!
