Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our 4th visit to Villa Sabandari and we fall in love with it a little more each time. The villa is beautifully maintained, the staff are wonderful and the outlook is gorgeous - can't want for more. Oh yes - the breakfasts and afternoon teas are excellent. Already dreaming of our next visit!

A perfect stay in Ubud! We stayed for two weeks and loved everything. Private rooms are beautiful, clean, well maintained. Shower outside is amazing. Peaceful quiet place with a beautiful view. Stuff was highly professional, attentive and made everything so we could enjoy our time there. Breakfast is delicious!

Our second stay, spending 10 nights. Loved the staff, the daily afternoon tea at 4pm and the daily changing breakfast. Boutique in style with just 6 villas it’s an oasis overlooking a rice field. All rooms are great. Loved the outdoor shower, the day bed and of course the pool.

Spend an awful lot of time at the hotel because of sickness, and OH was I glad that we stayed here. They had the best bed of about 10 different hotels during our stay in Indonesia, and that really says a lot. Nice staff, quiet place and beautiful surroundings. Only negative/room for improvement I can mention, is that it is to easy for insects to come to the toilet because its connected with the little garden. They should also consider closing the small haps in the rooftop totally, so geckos cant get inside the room during night.

Our stay at Villa Sabandari in Ubud was nothing short of magical. Nestled amidst the mush, tropical gardens, this tranquil oasis effortlessly blends modern luxury with authentic Balinese charm. The impeccably designed rooms offer a serene escape, complete with amazing views of the nearby rice terraces. The staffs warmth and attention to detail made us feel like cherished guests, not mere visitors. Dont miss out on sipping on one if the signature cocktails next to the infinity pool with its beautiful view. This place is a true masterpiece, ensuring an unforgettable stay in the heart if Ubud. Thank you to our host Dirk and the entire full staff. We cant wait to return!!

Villa Sabandari once again met our expectations - it is a beautiful oasis hidden behind a fence along a lane way. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the start of the town centre and a 10 - 15 minute walk to the Ubud markets. If you are not wanting to walk the hotel has a shuttle service where they can drop you off anywhere in the Ubud town centre and pick you up. The hotel provides you with a beautiful three course breakfast on your terrace and an afternoon snack between 4-5 pm. You can purchase a light meal during the day - most guests head out for the day, I travelled with my mother who is 80 so we spent most days lounging around the pool which was great. We had a massage, few drinks, even a cocktail and had the vegetable soup for lunch which was delish. Your room is cleaned daily and you even have a turn down service where new towels are provided. The staff are delightful and always willing to help - we love this hotel and have booked again for next September.

Wonderful resort. Beautiful - right next to a rice field where you can watch the cranes. Clean, quiet and the BEST massages. Regarding service - Dirk was amazing. He went above and beyond. Highly recommend Villa Sabandari.

A quiet oasis tucked away close to city centre. The staff was hospitable, and some nice touches to the service (they offer afternoon tea with a new snack daily, a pick up and drop to city centre, free welcome massage) really made our stay memorable! Would surely visit again!

Beautiful location, quiet and serene, with view over the rice paddies. At the same time, one is only 15 minutes ( walking) or a short ride by car (depending on traffic) from the center of Ubud, with all its little shops, restaurants, dance performances, temples, monkey forest and other attractions. Shuttle provided by Villa Sabandari. Rooms very tastefully laid out and with great outdoor shower. Also nice swimming pool Breakfast on balcony plus tea between 4 and 5 pm. The Villa was really kind and offered us a breakfast box when we had to leave early on the day of departure. Thank you for making us feel so much at home!

Excellent stay, plenty of privacy, very friendly staff. Afternoon tea served every day was a highlight. We had to check out before the kitchen was open. So they packed us a boxes breakfast with fruit, juice, yogurt, a sandwich and left it in our minibar. You will feel special!
