I thought this hotel was in a great location, right on the beach. The lobby, breakfast area and gardens were beautiful, the room however was very dated, a very typical late 80's hotel room. The place is huge, it felt like we walked for ages to get to our room and when we did I was disapointed in the type... More

I stayed at the Alam KulKul Boutique Resort with my husband 6-9 May 2012. We arrived after 8pm and was drop-off at the entrance but the lady on hand did not direct us to the reception area which had us walking in circles. We booked the Alam Room and it was housed in a 3 storey building towards the back with... For those of us who prefer a relaxed atmosphere away from the hussle and bustle of the heart of Kuta, yet close enough to walk, this is an excellent location...and across the road from the beach for great sunsets. We stayed for 2 nights on our way to Gili and enjoyed it so much we returned before our departure from... More

We often stayed at Alam Kulkul everytime time we went to Bali, but this won’t be the case in the future. If the staff is still very nice and friendly, the cost for a standard room (even in low season) is completely overpriced according to the hotel standard – it is absolutely not a 4-star hotel as mentioned on the... Arrived monday afternoon, had booked a Lanai Room facing pool, told they were all taken & were "upgraded" to a villa. Spacious & nicely decorated & a lovely large bathroom, though you have to be careful not to leave the bathroom door open as it will let mosquitos through to where you sleep. It was however noisy (villa 104) being... More

We stayed at this resort in May 2012 for 3 nights. The location is the reason we opted for Alamkulkul. It is really a beautiful resort, but let down by a bad smell in the room !!!! I notice other reviewers mentioned this as well !! however the problem still exists & is quite bad. The restaurant is well overpriced... More

Although it was only a one night stay, we really fell in love with this resort. And it looks far much better than in pictures. We had a little issue which was resolved earlier, and we surprised when they upgraded us to Alam Lanai Room which was facing the pool. It was awesome view at when we checked-in at night.... More

Here is my conclusion first then you can read the rest, its a long review and hope it helps. "I would come here again because it is so quite with facilities in a small hotel". OK, firstly I hate BIG HOTELS, you know the ones. kids dragging chairs across the floor in the room above you at 6am or groups... More
