We felt like home right from the beginning. They are so nice people and we have laughed so much in these three days, it felt so good beeing there. The room with a view: excellent; the food Renu prepared: excellent; the discussions and the informations we got: superbe. We definitely would like to go for another visit one day!

Our 3 night stay at the Aakriti homestay with Rajat,Mughda and Renu was really memorable. Such a lovely welcoming family, their hospitality and warmth is out of this world, We really felt like members of the family. The family are educated, open people who really made us feel extremely welcome. Renus' cooking is absolutely delicious she use all locally-sourced fresh... More

A wonderful experience! Particularly enjoyed walking through the markets and tea plantations with Rajat. Renu's cooking was delicious and we really enjoyed meal times with the family discussing tea, food and all things India. We learnt more in one day with Rajat and family than we did in 2 weeks with tour guides. Quite expensive, but worth every penny and... More

This was the first stop on my itinerary and it couldn't have been improved upon for welcoming friendliness and hospitality. Renu's cooking was never to be surpassed on the whole of my trip and I loved the way she explained, with loving care, all the ingredients. She tends the luscious garden too and there are many examples of her art in and... More

Aakriti wa a very enjoyable experience! Very charming hosts giving a lot of insights in the Indian live, tea production and the region, excellent food and very nice cottages. We also enjoyed the open-minded discussions with the members of the family. Thanks a lot!

Aakriti is a very pleasant homestay in the Nilgiri Hills. Being in the hills, the place is higher and away from the heat and bustle of India's towns and cities, and the climate is more European. The contrast may be very welcome! The scenery and terrain is somewhat different too, being obviously high level, commanding great views and you are... More

We, Anita and Peter from Switzerland stayed 2 nights at Aakriti with the Kumar Family (Rajat, Renu and Mughda) in December 2011. We liked the big and comfortable rooms in a separate cottage only a few meters from the main house. Everything was extremely clean like in Switzerland. We enjoyed the short stay very much and Renu was cocking excellent... More

Our stay with the Kumars (Rupa, Rajat, Renu and Mughda) was one of our highlights in India. We enjoyed the unbelievable hospitality of the whole family, the great vegetarian food that Renu prepared every day and the individual tours to a tea plantation and to an indian market guided by Rajat and Rupa. We stayed in a bungalow that was... More
