Very good hotel for stay in the commerical area of Gandhipuram, good room service & lots of travel agencies nearby to quickly take upa bus in case you need a short travel in the near by cities when running out of trains availability. Staff if cooperative & speak Tamil, Hindi & English. Decent rooms too.

City Tower is one of a good hotel in Coimbatore. Approx a km away from the Railway station. Neat rooms with roof top restaurant (Cloud restaurant). Foods were excellent with mixed varieties of South & North Indian. There are 2 more restaurants for vegetarian and Chinese.

I've stayed here twice - in 2001 and 2012 both times as a one night stop off en route to catching the Blue Mountain train from Mettupalayam into the Nilgiris Hills the next morning. I stayed there on 30th october 2012,I found the position too good,just 1min from Chennai Central Station.By infrastructure,it's good,the restaurant is also good,good staffs.,The rooms are large spacious,toilet was clean.No complaints.
