We stayed March/April school holidays 2012 and would stay again. Greatest location, close to everything, clean modern and great staff. Lots of peaceful spots within also if I didn't want hustle and bustle

We were attracted by the location of the hotel with a great view of lighted fatesagar lake and the city from the top and got a good deal in this five star hotel which made it value for money. The rooms are good enough, comfortable and well maintained with almost all amenities. They have two dining options, Angan and Padmini....

Dear Mr. Yashvan,
Namaskar!
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding our hotel. I am very grateful for your note complimenting the location and facilities of our hotel. Yes our deluxe room is quite comfortable with the magnificent view of Fateh Sagar Lake & the City View with the size of 300 sq feet with all...

We stayed at this hotel in December 2011. We arrived following stays at luxury heritage hotels in other towns - this one was the best we saw.
Although contained within a period building the decor inside is actually quite modern - and in the room one will find all modern ameneties in perfect working order. The views of the lake...

We stayed here for four nights. The room was comfortable, but best of all was the view....close enough to enjoy Fateh Sagar Lake but far enough from the road and crowds to appreciate the serenity. I enjoyed it more than if we were staying on Lake Pichola which was teeming with tourists and hotels.
Service at The Lalit was good...

Stayed here as part of a small group (10 people) tour. Reception staff were welcoming and room spacious and comfortable with all mod cons – including fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer and (chargeable) wi-fi. Breakfast buffet in the restaurant was good and varied.
We were here at the time of Holi and the hotel had laid on a colours...

Very clean hotel located in an old princely estate, with a beautiful view on one of the two lakes. The staff is helpful and professional. The only problem is that the wi-fi is not free of charge, like in all 4 or 5 star-hotels in India (which is a shame when you consider the rates of the rooms...). But on...

We were apprehensive about booking rooms here as the reviews on tripadvisor are pretty bitter. We chose the Lalit anyway only on the basis of the location… on top of a hill, overlooking a lake, and it could not have been better. Udaipur was the last stop on our tour from Delhi, and we wanted relax and unwind.
From the...

Overall; This hotel has beautiful rooms but many of the so called "Lake View Rooms" have a view that is partially obstructed by the lovely trees that stand between the hotel and the lake. Keep in mind too that this hotel does not sit on Lake Pichola, the larger of the two lakes in Udaipur, and the one with the...

Had a very pleasant stay for 2 nights, peaceful and relaxing, almost like a retreat. There was a communication error with booking and staff dealt with situation ASAP, in kindly manner. Location nice. Udaipur is wonderful, can't believe it's our first time staying there. Romm clean, found bed very comfortable. Woke up with a smile on my face. I was...

Noisy rooms, you can hear people talking, doors banging, at all hours. The rooms smell very strongly of commercial cleaners. They charge an extra $12.50 or so per day PER DEVICE if you want access to the internet. I found the front desk staff very boot faced, heard several people complaining about their bills at checkout. The hotel doesn't use...
