Amazing location...We went to ranthambore in Diwali (end of october). Jhoomar Baori is placed beautifully amidst dense forests. This property is the only property to be located in the forest. The rooms were clean and and tidy but were not furnished with the most modern amaenities. Being a heritage property it is not a five star treatment but for a forest... More

this was the only non family operated hotel i stayed in and i so wish it was not the same. the hotel is a heritage property which once belonged to the jaipur his highness as i was told. the location of the hotel was spectacular as it was almost in the forest. you could see quite a lot of wildlife... This Hotel is has one good thing going for it and that is the location and only the location. But the location is great and it makes up for a lot but not all, the hotel is dirty and badly maintained, there were wires that were hanging out of the walls, loose sockets, the beds are very hard and on... Having done a lot of research on Tripadvisor on hotels to stay at Ranthambhore, we decided to book one night at Jhoomar Baori during our two week vacation in Rajasthan. We were a bit apprehensive since this is a government (RTDC) run hotel and the room rates in the last week of December were quite steep. We were certainly not... More

We drove from .gurgaon to the park. There are 2 routes, one via Alwar,Dosa,Lasote, ranthambore. This is 75km.shorter than the Jaipur,Tonk, ranthambore route. The road tfrom Gurgaon to ranthambore. Via Alwar is excellent but for a 15km stretch from Dosa which is horrible as it is under construction. We stayed at Castle Jjhoomar Baori and we recommend it to all.excellent hotel and staff. We... Inarguably the best place to stay at Ranthambhor, this medieval 'castle' was the Maharaja of Jaipur's (citation needed) guest house. It's perched on a hillock which overlooks a skeletal canopy of Dhok trees while stark cliff faces frame the far sides. I have heard the 'sawing' grunt of a leopard, a cacophony of chital alarm calls, fed a mixed party... More

While on my way from Udaipur to Jaipur, I planned to visit the Ranthambore National Park. Google on the Rajasthan tourism website landed me in this hotel/ castle. The property is located in the vicinity of the jungle area and during the morning hours one could easily see the deer, sambhar, peacock, etc in the hotel park. The rooms are... More

Hotel view is excellent and maintained very well. Good experience to stay in Jungle. You can see peacock ,deer and Sambhar near to your hotel and in morning colourful birds. Hotel staff is greedy for tips and sometimes they misguide. More

The Reason this hotel is Very Good in spite of the Rooms not really being Top Notch (at least for the Rate they charge) is because it is very close to the Reserve so you are surrounded by lush greenery, one is away from all the other hotels which just seem to be stuck to each other and there is...
