Feb 2008 : We happened to visit the Kuchaman City in Rajasthan for our cousin's wedding. On reaching here, we found out about this property and booked it against all odds. Amazingly huge property. This is the property where a part of the movie Drona (of Abhishek Bachchan) was shot. An ancient fort has been converted to a Hotel and... More

The hotel is an amazing experience which I would not have missed, having spectacular views over an astonishing landscape, interesting and authentic rooms, and a terrace restaurant on which one can eat under the stars with a view across the town to the desert

Kuchaman Fort Hotel is located in the erstwhile Kuchaman Fort in Nagaur District near Makrana on a hillock 1000 feet high in the pristine Aravali Hill Range, surrounded by great plains. Its a heritage hotel resort with Fort’s formidable ramparts, terraces, balconies, and viewing points . The view at night of the lit-up Kuchaman city and during day-time of the... More

Its when i see places like these i wonder when we Indians have so much of History, Culture and Heritage why dont we maintain it well. Its a beautiful place with a terrific view of mountains and the Kuchaman Town. The Hotel has rooms at different levels. The top of the fort boasts of the best suites but its quite... More

The fort is offbeat and is reached via the Kuchaman village. High rise fort can be reached only by using fort 4x4 jeeps. The ride up to the fort was nice. The place itself is decently maintained though posses old furniture and decor. the staff was very helpful and courteous. The food was great and the camel cart ride we... More

Make no mistake about it - the approach to this fort is spectacular. Perched on top of a hill, there are fantastic views over the town and into the distance. And as other reviewers have pointed out, your expectations are raised as you enter the lower reaches of the hotel and see the beautifully decorated meeting-and -greeting halls, and as... More

Set in a historic fort, hundreds of years old with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Approached up a steep hill - transport is normally by jeep, or walkable if you are fit. Dodgy plumbing, but cold showers are bracing. Service quite hit and miss. Buffet dinner in the evening was frankly poor. Cleanliness doubtful - they do not seem... More

Driving through the salt plains of Kuchaman the Kuchaman Fort Hotel dominates the landscape. Situated high above the terrain it looks like something Disney would create. Arriving through the town to the reception area, a beautifully painted room is the meeting point whilst you await the arrival of jeeps to transport passengers and luggage up the hill to the hotel.... Accessed by jeep or a self-congratulatory hill walk, this converted old fort is a fantastic place to stay for a few days and on a clear day the views to the town and beyond are absolutely spectacular. The distant sounds of muezzins (one with a bad cough), truck horns and the occasional donkey drift skyward and mingle with the racket... More
