Knowing India after having been there for the 5th time, I do allow myself to write the follow : Manaltheeram is beautifully situated ! A palm-grove on a hill leading down to the sea. The sea itself is rough and most of the time bathing is rather dangerous. There is a fisher village just next door, and you can see... More

Manaltheeram is rightfully one of the most popular resorts for a proper Ayurvedaholiday. With a lovely setting overlooking the vast beach in Chowara, south Kerala, bungalows imbedded in greenery; bushes, flowers and coconuttrees and all facilities in the resort in close proximity. Tidy, well cared and attentive staff, great restaurant serving fresh vegetarian food with dishes signed which dosha will... More

After a 9-day trip in Tamil Nadu and northern Kerala we arrived at this hotel to relax only for a day and a half ( due to an early flight back home ). I really didn't like the travellers' photos of the hotel but we chose to go there. Fortunately the hotel is much better. The rooms are nice, wooden... More

Definitely a place I would recommend. On the Kerala coast you could spend double the amount at a hotel which has a brand name and still not have such a good time. The accommodation at Manaltheeram is of a high standard and the setting is fabulous. (The Manltheeram Resort is in a better location than the sister hotel Somaltheeram which... More

Have been there, you feel the comfortable ambience, you meet relaxed happy people from all over the world. I call this area paradise. Kerala People talk about "God owns country"...and after some weeks i have to admit , it is God own country, due the the spirit, sympathy from the local people, nature, vegetation and climate. Have been in south... More

The magic of Manaltheeeram is absolutely a perfect combination of splendid landscape, the superb resort The quality of the Ayurvedic treatments, the delicious and always different meals for breakfast to dinner, and last but not the least the kindness and great efficiency of all the members of the team at the reception, restaurant, kitchen, Ayurveda center and also the doormen,... Had we known how great this resort was we would have stayed longer because our next resort was a disaster. M.A.B.V was truly awesome with the hammocks dotted around all over, the eating under the palm trees and more than anything the tranquility. How we wish we had stayed longer. Nice location but totally rip-off We booked via booking.com a bungalow with "air Condition" and "see view". But when we arrived the stuff said us, that they are totally booked out and they will send us to the neighbor resort in the Hills which is the same (it´s not...it´s in the Hills and not at the beach). There they tried... More

We came for 3 nights over Xmas and it served its purpose of being a beach resort and not being too expensive. The setting of the resort is fantastic, you cannot fault it; right next to the beach, with the resorts outdoor dining overlooking the beach and sea. The main let down was the food and drinks, with the buffet... More
