This was my second visit after five years. And it was just as I remembered. The last time we stayed in the guestroom and on this occasion I stayed in the cottage. The cottage is spacious with an outdoor bathroom and a kitchen. In the morning I would open the doors and stare at the scenery from the comfort of... More

I was recommending the Ayurveda massage in the village only because it was nearby and something local. Regret it was not up to the mark... I fully agree with the comment of Mr. Shem, and would recommend in future, the one at Trident Hotel in Willington Island or other reputed places in Cochin... jos from gramam More

Gramam Homestay is a great place if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Fort Kochi. The cottage is separate from Jos’s house and all located in a coconut grove. Our flight arrived at 4.00a.m. and we were picked up as arranged with Jos by email with no problems. We didn’t realise that the dawn chorus... More

to get the most out of this location, stay put and enjoy! the breakfast is a major plus point and the family friendly and helpful. the sunset trip worth it but the prawn farm visit is less to rave about. only word of caution is if going into fort cochin for the day to take note of gramam's location/surrounding. its... We stayed at Gramam homestay for the first 2 nights of our trip to India. We had a stunning family room (travelling with children aged9 and 5) in a coconut grove. The bathroom was an outside room- lovely to shower under the stars! The room was beautifully decorated and clean, and a perfect place to settle in after a long... More

We have just returned from a 2 week tour of Kerala which was quite amazing. I had originally contact Jos regarding a stay at Gramman Homestay and having read all the reviews about his organisational capabilities, decided to ask Jos to co-ordinate the logistics of our tour. We had a few problems initially trying to make payment (but I think... More

The location of this homestay is great and picture perfect. Homestay owner Jos is helpful and you can plan your itinerary with his help. Its located on the shores of the lake just south of Kochi. You can expect a typically Mallayali breakfast with appams, idli etc. The rooms are spacious and resonably equipped for a homestay. One needs to... More

My partner and I wanted to stay at this property and left it to last in our Kerala holiday plans. We had spent 24 hrs on a rice barge (great fun in itself) and were picked up very efficiently by arrangement with the Homestay owner Jos and taken to the shores of the lake just south of Kochi. The homestay... More

We stayed at Jos's homestay for just one night at the very end of a wonderful nearly 2 week trip around Kerala. The whole trip was organised by Jos, who sorted out a car and driver for us and booked a series of beautiful homestays for us (our favourites were Thani Illam and Kolenkerril). We stayed in the bungalow on... More

Our stay at Gramam, was shortened because of many reasons... An open bathroom (read, no roof) is heavenly, but not when your girlfriend hates bugs and is scared to go alone in there. No wifi in the room, can also be a treat, but not when you need to send important docs. No A/C was also a bit difficult for... More

Some friends recommended Jos and Gramam Homestay. What they forgot to tells us was that Jos also helps with travel and accommodation arrangements throughout southern India. We just discussed our inteinerary with Jos by e-mail and he booked everything, including an outstanding driver (called Baby - lovely chap who looked after us so well for several days) and car. We...
