A really lovely place to just relax in and enjoy some time off. The place is just lovely. Service is friendly and warm, food is of the very highest quality and the accommodation itself is extremely comfortable. The fish curries we had here were unforgettable, and we will certainly be back.

We had a wonderful 3 nights at Jos's lovely homestay. The cottage is superb value - it's huge and the outside bathroom is fantastic. We loved having the space inside and the wonderful, gardens just in front of us. Lying in the hammock just by the backwaters, watching the fishermen and the beautiful sunsets was the highlight. Jos provided fresh... More

A fantastic place to stay we wish we had booked in for longer.Lie in the hammock and read or sit under the verandah with a beer in the evening. Bliss!! Fort Cochin is a tuk tuk ride away but locally there are plenty of shops and a hotel serving reasonable food just down the road.Early in the morning you wake... More

On the first day of the temple festival there was one elephant, on the second day there were two, and on the third there were three. Jos and his family told me to expect an additional elephant each day at the annual festival that took place just 200 feet from the bedroom where I slept, and just like everything they... More

Gramam is a spectacular place to stay, and Jos is a wonderful host. The cottage is right on the water, with a hammock to chill out on. Very very quiet, you can watch the early morning fishermen whilst reading your book, bliss! The cottage itself is lovely, beautifully decorated, amazing outdoor bathroom, but could do with bigger towels, and nicer... More

we only stayed a few days in Cochi and felt extremly well. The house is idyllicly situated in an animated hood near by Fort Cochi. Jos and his wife are discreet but any question or request will be answered or meet. Some details - a welcome juice, a farewell sweet for instance - show how Jos takes care of his... More

When we booked this we knew it was a bit of traveling time to Fort Cochin but this turned out to be a bonus. It was a lovely peaceful location. Jos organised a nice canoe trip for us. A previous reviewer has mentioned there is only one restaurant nearby which is true but the restaurant was excellent and we happily... More
