An amazing experience, a small private palace that accepts just one set of guests at a time. It is so calm and beautiful that we hated to leave. You have a boat at your disposal to cruise the waters near the hotel, you can have a massage in a small private spa area, they even brought in a barber so... More

One night was not enough. We should have stayed a second night. I could have spent the day sat on the balcony, drinking tea and reading my book. You leave the hustle and bustle of Kochi behind you at the gate and enter a sanctuary, perfectly restored. The food was truely amazing, the room beautiful, host friendly and the atmosphere... More

The project of restoring Chittoor Palace to its former glory is clearly a true love of Suresh. He has paid superb attention to detail in all of the renovation that has brought out the best in the craftsmen he employed in the restoration. Enough for the physical - many people are able to build fancy and/or extravagant structures. However, the... More

Arrival into Cochin after a twenty three hour journey was an assault on our senses in every respect!! If you can imagine being dropped into central London with the traffic coming at you from every direction, and some of them in quite an irrational direction at that, then you will be pretty close to the experience; albeit that Cochin and... From the moment we arrived, Suresh made sure we were comfortable and well looked after. Our only regret is that we only had one night there and had to depart early the next morning. Our room was spectacular and had the finest furnishings. Dinner that evening started with beers and snacks on the back lawn watching the sun set over... More

We stayed at Chittoor Palace for one night and really enjoyed our stay. The building is an ancestral home that has been restored to its original splendour with modern amenities discreetly added in for additional comfort. The room itself is stunning, with a large bathroom, a private living room and a veranda from which you can watch beautiful sunsets over... More

What a fantastic place. This 400 year old palace has been restored with a wonderful eye for detail by Suresh who was a fabulous host for our stay. Having spent some of our holiday visiting old palaces, it was a perfect ending to actually stay in one. Overlooking the backwaters, we were able to travel by boat to Fort Cochin,... More

The Chittoor Palace has to be one of the most amazing places to stay anywhere. Sure, there are other heritage sites, but they can't offer the personal attention provided by Suresh. At the Chittoor you feel like an honored guest and not a paying visitor. The meals provided were amazing, and were complemented by excellent conversation. I spent an morning... More

This little palace was magical. Its has its own private waterway on the backwaters of Kerala, and is away from the touristy hussle and bussle of Cochin. The owner has just finished renovating it and we were his 3rd guests. It is rented out to only one couple/family at a time so you can experience living in a royal palace... More

I am thankful for the review. It has been a pleasure and will be a pleasure for me to meet and host such nice people from other parts of this plannet who had given this opinion about Chittoor Palace. As an owner of this property, I will keep trying to improve upon everything that is offered to make my guests... More
