This is the tenth time we have been to Goa and booked a three week package holiday at the Dona Alcina. For an inexpensive two star hotel we found the Dona Alcina very acceptable. It could do with a paint job and general tidy up - but the room was spacious; the sheets and towels were clean; the pool was... More

This is an utter disgrace. WE DID NOT SPEND ONE NIGHT IN THIS HOTEL. We were greeted at Reception by a rat (the fury kind). The room they tried to give us was disgusting, it can only be described as a prison cell with bars on the windows. Staff were not at all helpful, we asked to change rooms but... More

We had taken 3 rooms and spent 4 nights at Dona Alcina during the New Year. Right from the time we entered, we realized that this was just not the right choice. Apart from the excellent location, there is nothing good that we can write about the "Resort" ! The rooms, though spacious, were devoid of any amenities. There was... More

Complimentary breakfast was not upto the mark. only 2-3 piece of bread slice with empty jars of jams along with tea. its location is one of the best in candolim.... More

Dona Alcina did not live up to the booking reservations made on a booking website. We were promised a non-ac room with a TV and a continental breakfast. There was no TV, and the 'continental' breakfast included extremely weak coffee and 3 pieces of dried bread (extremely hard with no warmth or toast markings) with only enough butter and jam... More

My husband & I have just returned home from a month at the Dona Alcina & would like to give our views. The hotel is in a good location on the main street with loads of excellent restaurants, bars & karaoke around. Now the drawbacks! Firstly, on arrival, everone seems to be given the grottiest rooms available, until they complain,... More

I stayed at Dona Alcina for a week in Feb 2011. The hotel facilities are basic, although the swimming pool is nice and is kept very clean. Rooms are cleaned every day, and linen changed. We paid locally for air con, which was worth it as it was very hot. Breakfast is nothing special, toast and tea/ coffee but its... More
