Pleasant hotel located on a pristine sandy beach amidst a nicely shaped garden. I was allocated a room in one of the bungalows but I couldn't stand the noisy AC unit and after a sleepless night I was transferred to a very quiet room in the Family annex. The rooms here have a high ceiling but don't have a balcony... More

The rooms were really poor and parlour, the only wonderful thing is that our bathroom was cleaned well daily, unfortunately, can`t say the same about the rest of the room, the floor was dirty and sandy. Swimming pool and beach area are wonderful, the staff is really attentive there - nothing to complain on. But restaurant food sometimes seemed dangerous... More

Hotel does not deserve 4 stars (even in the country with 7 stars hotels). Swimming pool was open only from 8am to 6pm. Bottom of the swimming pool was partially covered with mould or fungus. Rooms and restaurant are worn out and not very elegant (table cloths in restaurant were creased). Food was tasty but rather made from cheap meat.... More

this 4* hotel shoud be rated max 1,5*!!! (I have travelled to Egypt now 8 times and can compare between different egyptian hotel standards), if you expect a 1* sevice you will be happy, but if you expect a 4* service please do not go! -"main bulding" must be well over 30 years old, and yes, one can feel the... No doughy that the staff of this hotel is doing its best, where its part can be of help. The problems there are related to the mentality of owners. Where the hotel is full of guests all over the year, the owners are investing the minimum to improve the hotel situation. - Bungalows are in need of serious improvement, including... More

The only thing I liked about the hotel was the beach. I didn't like loud music echoeing from kid's club. Majority of residents were German, so no entertainment for you in the evenings if you don't speak German. Though entertainment was lame. I had a few arguments with the staff. If you are German or EU citizen you get a... More

I'm hoping that I can write a fair review that clears up any confusion with the reviews that I've read about this place. Firstly, it is resort for german tourists with some russians. We were only the 2nd english speakers there in a year. No english reps available at this resort. The room we were given was so small that... More

Nice and a relaxing hotel. Not too big so it was easy for our children to get around and find our hotel room ect. (children age: 8 and 6). Compared to the price, we found the food fine. The quality was not 5 stars, but there was allways new things on the menu so we do not complaine. The staff... More

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Sol Y Mar Hotel where the weather was simply fantastic reaching 32c! I am english, my wife is German and i guess the hotel was 50% German guests and 50% Russian guests. We were all inclusive so didn't have to worry about racking up a large bill. The food in... More
