Basically it is an ecovillage built entirelly on bamboo and their athmosphere is so special it makes the Hosteria an ideal place for honeymoons in that zone of the country. Alandaluz is an amazing, peaceful place. I stayed in a 3-room cabin with hammocks, a composting toilet, a comfy bed for $29, which is more expensive for Ecuador, but well worth the peace, quiet, beautiful beach, landscape, pool, etc. I would go back there again!

We were disappointed because they are proud to be an eco lodge. There is nothing eco about this lodge (eg. energy saving lamp only at the reception, they sell corals and shells in the shop ...).
