We stayed at the Red Booby for 5 nights in January. The location is superb -within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Puerto Arroyo and just a couple blocks from the waterfront/docks. The room was plenty large with a table/chairs and storage area for clothes. Everything was neat and clean. Loved the roof top pool! Probably not... More

Our family recently stayed at the Red Booby for 1 night on our Galapagos Adventure. The hotel is in a great location (although all is close in Puerto Ayora). The rooms were clean, plenty of hot water for showering, air conditioner worked well. We stayed on the first floor. A little noisy in the morning with guests coming down, gathering... More

Clean and roomy. Right across the hotel there is a bar that can be loud late at night. The town is very small, so any location is close to the harbor. Nobody in the hotel speaks any English, but this is the case for any hotel of this class.

As someone else mentioned, this place is clean, neat, close to where you need to be, breakfast was nice enough, - it'll do the job. Beds were too hard for me, but every place I stayed in Ecuador (5) except one had too hard beds. Our room was on the second floor and the view across the street was of... More

We stayed four nights in the hotel. Many rooms are located in the first two floors with windows opening to the restaurant area. Some mornings this means early arousal because of loudspeaking guests (Americans). Try to get rooms facing outwards or to the third level. Nice and plentiful breakfast. The location is excellent even though there are no distances to... More

So, we booked our trip with LatinAmerica4Less.com and therefore had no control over our hotel. We stayed at the Red Booby hotel for 3 nights and it was fine. Each room had an AC unit and they worked, which was all that mattered. We actually slept very well every night. The rooms are pretty sterile and not much to comment... More

We stayed in this hotel for three hights, and for such a stay the rooms were very small. All the basics were available and things were clean. breakfast is good. Staff overall doesn't speak english very well; just one person at reception could help us. All in all a good hotel for one night stay, but for longer stays I... More

Red Booby turned out to be a nice and comfortable hotel, albeit basic. It is centrally located, clean, and has a helpful and friendly staff. Breakfasts are basic, but the cook will make you whatever you want. I also heard the dinners are very good. They have internet access available. The rooms on the Isabela floor are nicer than the... We stayed for a week at this hotel. Good location with nice, sunny, quiet pool to take a dip in. The rooms were ok, nice big comfy beds with a/c. Clean but not much for $100 a night. The staff did not speak very good English. Good basic breakfast included. Overall, we really enjoyed out stay at thsi hotel and... More

Simple but pleasant hotel in an excellent location a couple of blocks from the harbor. The room was clean and spacious, although fairly basic. There is no phone in the room (which would be useful to communicate with the front desk) and no safe. The latter would have been very useful to leave all valuables when going on boat excursions....
