I stayed at the Empress March 23 and 24. Yes the rooms are dated but they are comfortable. Yes it houses a night club and it can be very noisy. Still, I slept great. I loved the location, the balconey and the front desk. It was well worth the price. I already made another reservation for this summer.

My family has stayed here several times and has enjoyed it both times. The accomadtions are not four star by any means, but it is a clean and comfortable place and the prices are very reasonable, especially off season. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. So I stayed at the empress over the summer, last week of July to be exact. I stayed during the week, because I had seen and heard just how rowdy it can get on the weekends. I have to say my stay was sublime, my only complaint was just how much my room smelled of cigarettes.
